The only problem I have with this so far is the fact its called X-Men: First Class. Other than the fact that its clearly not the first class I think this may actually be an alright film. (let the onslaught of outrage commence :P however i am being deadly serious)

I've been paying pretty close attention to this film and I haven't heard a thing about it being a trilogy.

I think your reality is a little clouded...

Maxjaybo@ McAvoy spoke in an interview about the direction his character would go in the next film. just saying...

""I would suggest by the end of the movie and the start of the next movie, it'll be more like what Patrick does," said McAvoy, adding, "Or maybe not. Maybe it will still be in a period of flux, if there is a new movie."""

@ rocknrollcc

because i like the deadpool comic charactor.

fox last two x-men related movies

x-men 3 & x-men origins wolverine are piss poor efforts.

& we've got x-men first class,wolverine 2 & i hope not deadpool on the way.

we won't see another decent x-men movie all the while the franchise is with fox.

give it back to marvel studios & let them make some x-men films.

@ thetrubatman14, Really? What issue do you have with Avengers, which won't be out for another year and a half+ and has am amazing cast & creative team behind it? I mean, issues with the X-Men I see and pretty much agree with. But, Avengers? Really...?

I think Fox will do alright with this film. The whole X-men movie series has not been downright bad. If you look you will find the peanut in the turd. Martha Stewart says thats a good thing.

Listen, X-Men was a decent film at the time because we had few other recent CBM's to compare it too. However in today's CBM rich evioroment it is my belief that all the X-films were disapointing. In fact as most on this site feel all Fox CBM's are epic failures in everything except box office.

I can't believe that Fox is so deaf that they cannot hear the cries of the fans. 1. No Singer. Say what you want but that tool does not respect the source material. 2. If your going to title it "First Class" then for God's sake put the first class in the film. 3. Which brings me to... Reboot!

I will see "First Class" opening day and in a theater. Why? Two reasons: Mathew Vaughn and James Macavoy. I have a slight bit of hope that while this may not be the X-Men film I long for, beacuse of these two talents it may just be the best one yet (which will cause me to forget the continuity, or lack there of).

@Cyke89

"Marvel Studios is behind this projects. Singer has made the first two X-men, the better two, and now he's producing and he write the story for the movie. "

Marvel Studio is not behind the X-Men movies. they sold their rights to FOX Studio. Marvel will get certain percentage of profit but they aint developing this movie or any X-Men movies, they dont have any say until the rights go back to them.

@Cyke89

Marvel Studio dont have proper creative control on the X-Men movies, Spider-Man, etc. they dont have say on what FOX Studio have done to the X-Men universe, etc. yes Marvel are co-producers cause these are their comics but they have no say on how the movies are produce.

the only moves that Marvel Studio themselve produce are Iron Man 1-2, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Cap.

thats Emma Frost in Wolverine the girl got the same powers and shes was promoted on TV as the character.

i guessing u like what they did to Deadpool then in Wolverine.
jazzman
jazzman - 10/1/2010, 4:54 PM
@Cyke89

they only rebooting some of these movies to keep the rights to the characters longer at their studio. if the studios dont keep on making these movies at a certain time period all the Marvel character would go back to Marvel Studio.

when their was a rumor about Dazzler solo movie and someone asked him about it Kevin Feige said "FOX Studio own all the rights to mutants in the X-Men universe".

@MarsAmbassador - That's just a character spot and has nothing to really do with the movie & can be easily retconned. None of my friends (who aren't comic book fans) who saw Wolverine really has a clue as to who she is. So time First Class comes out, they'll consider that character as Emma Frost & not the one in Wolverine. And it's the general audience these studios mainly aim at...with shitty nods & cameos just to please us, the real comic book movie fans
