Universal Confirms Plan For THE BOURNE LEGACY And TED Sequels

Despite not being a massive success wither at the box office or with critics, Universal are moving ahead with a sequel to The Bourne Legacy and another instalment of Seth MacFarlane's Ted.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBCUniversal CEO Steve Burke has confirmed today that the studio are moving ahead with their plans to build new franchises. This year has seen them release Battleship and Snow White and the Huntsman, with the latter set to get a spin-off featuring Thor star Chris Hemsworth. There's no more details on that right now, although Burke confirmed plans for follow-up's to two of their other big 2012 films, The Bourne Legacy and Ted. Fans of animated movies will also be happy to learn that their goal is to "eventually" release two of those a year following the success of Despicable Me.
