After having the biggest opening weekend in the UK (grossing $32.4M this past weekend), Sony Pictures and MGM's Skyfall continues to be a success at the box office before it opens in North America. The 23rd adventure of James Bond, directed by Sam Mendes, has currently grossed $96.5M in less than a week in overseas locations. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is expected to cross the $100M mark by Thursday. Skyfall has also set a new record for a gross on Monday in the UK, reaching $6.8M and beating the record previously set by Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 2. Additionally, the movie made $386,000 in Brazil. That's over 80% ahead of what the last James Bond film, Quantum Of Solace, made in four days in the country with its %3.6 million. Skyfall's four day cume in France is $12.8M, $9.2M in Russia and $6.5M in South Korea.

Skyfall will be released in North American IMAX theaters on November 8th, and will arrive in conventional theaters the next day.

Can't wait to see this flick. Casino Royale was great and Quantum was awesome. Best Bond since Connery

hell yeah. Go James Bond!

Craig is a great James Bond. Have a feeling this might make it into my top five Bond movies.

1)From Russia With Love
2)Dr. No
3)Casino Royale
4)Live and Let Die
5)Goldeneye

Sweet!

I'm looking forward to Bond's return to form after the disappointing Quantum of Solace. Casino Royale is my favorite Bond film of all time, and it's sucked to see Daniel Craig sidelined for so long while MGM got its finacial ducks in a row.

Besides, from everything I've heard, this may well be the best Bond movie in decades. I couldn't possibly be any more excited!

Daniel Craig is an mazing actor and it wasn't his fault that quantum was not very good, it's the director nd writers fault, he just does what he is told.

everyone seems to forget that Quantum of Solace was written right in the middle of the writer's strike. meaning that basically the director and Daniel Craig had to write the movie themselves. and Craig has been repeatedly quoted as saying that he's "not even close to being a writer" and that's the main reason why:
1. the movie was so short
2. the dialogue was pretty sub-standard
3. the "villain" wasn't all that scary.
4. it moved basically from action sequence to action sequence, with not alot of plot in between.
And even then, it wasn't the worst movie in the world. It doesn't even hold a candle to Casino Royale, but it gave a satisfying conclusion to the Vesper story. Can't wait for Skyfall!!
