BOND 25: Composer Dan Romer Reteams With Director Cary Fukunaga For The Daniel Craig-Led Film

Thomas Newman may have created the score for the past two installments in the James Bond franchise, but a new report from Indie Wire reveals a new composer has been hired to produce the soundtrack for Bond 25.

According to the site, Dan Romer is set to partner up with director Cary Fukunaga (True Detective) for Daniel Craig’s latest adventure as the suave super spy.

While the upcoming Bond film is arguably Romer’s biggest project yet, he’s not stepping into totally unfamiliar territory, as he previously worked with Fukunaga to compose the score for Beasts of No Nation and the mini-series Maniac.

Bond 25, which is expected to be Craig’s final outing as the iconic spy, is currently scheduled to hit theaters on April 8, 2020 and also stars Rami Malek, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Léa Seydoux , Ben Whishaw, and Ana de Armas.

But who will do the opening theme song? That's the real question.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - As long as it isn’t Sam Smith. The Spectre theme song itself was good, but Sam Smith’s singing voice didn’t suit the grittiness of Bond IMO.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Wow, I like that so much better:

Apparently, they passed on the song, because they felt it was “too dark.” Terrible. What a missed opportunity.

Maniac had a pretty funky score. Fukunaga doing this movie is so [frick]ing hype.

bond 25 has to be epic per Craig's track record

Royal- outstanding (best bond film IMO)

quantum of solace - Horrid

Skyfall- amazing with an incredible Villain

Spectre - good idea poorly executed

Bond 25 ??????????

@knocturnalzen10 - I enjoyed SPECTRE way more than QOS. At least that one was entertaining with good action and a mostly fun supporting cast.
