JAMES BOND 25: The Long Awaited Sequel Has Been Pushed Back Another Two Months

The road to the twenty-fifth James Bond film has been a rocky one, and as evident from today's headline it continues to be. Hopefully, this is the last delay the sequel will get, allowing fans to witness Daniel Craig's apparent final outing as the beloved spy.

According to MGM and various outlets, the untitled 25th installment has been pushed back another two months, shifting from February 14, 2020
to Easter weekend, April 8, 2020. This is its second delay after it was initially announced for November 2019.

After the divisiveness of 2015's Spectre, the next Bond film has had a history of stagnating development. Initially, fans were left to wonder whether Craig was even returning to play the character, considering the apprehensiveness the actor displays during press tours.

It took a while to find a director for the film, with Danny Boyle taking the helm for a while before passing the torch to Cary Joji Fukunaga. Taking his
creative body of work (True Detective, Maniac) into account, fans should be in for one hell of a sendoff.

Can't say that I am surprised, especially after Boyle left

@Evansly

As much as I like Danny Boyle, a Cary Fukunaga Bond movie sounds incredible.

So why has Dominic Toretto declared war on Godzilla and King Kong?

As a big James Bond fan I'm fine with this, rather they delayed this and took their time to make a fantastic film and send off to Daniel then to rush it just to make a quick buck! We'll be here when your ready Mr. Bond!

@Jayman627 - It’s not really a delay, Fast 9 switched their release date and Bond took Fast 9’s date immediately thereafter presumably because they like the date more.

I'm not concerned with any Bond films starring Daniel Craig. I've hated everything from Casino Royale onward. Just bland generic action films that are missing all the charm of the classics. Now that Bond is a public domain character in half the world, I'm awaiting a foreign studio to take a stab at it.

I think it is time for a new Bond, Craig looked tired, old and weary in Spectre.

@Knightrider -
I'm fairly sure part of Spectre was the intent to make Bond look old, tired and worn out. They wanted to make it seem like he was going to be killed off and instead he retired once again.

At this stage the only satisfying ending to his version of Bond is for him to die. They have had already done every other option for his character progression.

Will there be more worst to come. One of the James Web say Daniel Craig could be stepping down in Timothy Dalton style. He will be 51 years old next month. Remember Timothy Dalton step down when he was 49. It could be going that way. The Producers don't know what they are play at. Us Bond fans are annoyed. Daniel Craig is my last Favourite 007.
