MAD MAX: FURY ROAD Dominates In Full List Of Winners From This Year's Critics' Choice Awards

The 21st annual Critics' Choice Awards took place in Santa Monica, California, last night, and Mad Max: Fury Road once again dominated.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens came out too late to be considered at this year's Crtics' Choice Awards, but it's hard to be too upset about that when Mad Max: Fury Road had such a great night. However, just like The Revenant won the big one at the Golden Globes, it was Spotlight which triumphed last night. What this means for the chances of George Miller's movie at the Oscars remains to be seen, but it's earned its fair share of well deserved praise by this point regardless!

Critics Choice Awards is the only movie awards show I agree with and actually enjoy

Thank god Jacob Tremblay won a big award. Him not getting nominated at the Oscars was the worst snub in years.

Spotlight crushed it, as it should've. Other than Leo's Best Actor win I don't really have any issue with most of these.

Some of the TV winners look like weird picks, but they recognized John Oliver and Master of None, so I'm content.

@craigferguson

It's not about the colour of your skin, it's about who had the best performance. They shouldn't just give a nomination to a black person for diversity even though they truly don't believe the person had a better performance than others.

All the actors/ actresses nominated this year deserved their spot. You really think Michael B. Jordan had a better performance than Leo or Fassbender?

I haven't seen Beasts Of No Nation but people are saying that Elba shouldn't have got nominated because others had best performance.

Tom Cruise should have won best male action star. Hardy was great but Cruise gave a better performance and was more enjoyable on screen.

Other than that, no disagreements with the winners. Like I said, Critics Choice Awards to me are always the best.

I saw The Big Short. I didn't think it was a comedy. It had 1-2 funny scenes.
I LOVED the scene with Margot Robbie. Clever and funny scene. But i didn't think it was a comedy. It's sad what happened. But a great movie. Great cast.

@pescigotpepsi

Beasts of No Nation was the 2nd best movie of the year to me (after Spotlight). I probably wouldn't be telling people that Elba doesn't deserve a nom without having seen it first.

And Leo did not deserve an award for Revenant.

Ant-Man fits better in the comedy or sci-fi categories, also Paul Rudd was meh, Douglas was the real star in that film

@nibs

I actually never said Elba didn't deserve one. I said I've heard people say he doesn't

I'm sure he is fantastic in it like he is in everything.

Exactly the reason why I don't listen to critics and b.s reviews. Their opinions suck like the rest of ours.

From what I've heard from opinions I appreciate is that BEST DIRECTOR should've gone to Alejandro González Iñárritu for The Revenant.

@slickrickdesigns

You don't have to agree with anyone but at least respecting and understanding why people have other opinions is pretty important, and not just with movies.

Sounds like you haven't even seen The Revenant, right? How can you even be upset that it didn't win best director here? It was great too but if you hated Mad Max because it had a simple story then guess what, you'll hate The Revenant too!

lol... didn't read and don't care for your comments. You were right the first time you said Adam Sandler's movies are better than Furiosa Road. I agreed with you then and agree now. MadMax was over rated and only Adam Sandler could've made the dialogue in that movie better. Wait as their dialogue beyond "What a lovely day"? or does anyone have anything memorable besides Guitar Flamer and VagTeethPanties to go with that?

Yeah, Mad Max'll probably win a lot of technical awards at the Oscars, but no "big" prizes. That's how it is with sci-fi flicks. Nothing to see. Move along.

Best actor in an action movie - Tom Hardy. That's funny...I don't see it. Good movie, but the guy is barely in it.

Little butthurt over Ultron not getting a single nom here despite categories hand picked for it like best Action movie or best Sci-fi?

Don't worry though, next time just say you have nothing of substance to add to any conversation and I won't bother you. No big deal!

FINALLY! It's LEO's TIME BABY!!! 1st Golden Globes, now Critic's Choice. He will finally get the Oscars that he truly deserves ever since he first got nominated (albeit his performance in this movie is sub par from his previous performances)
