Paramount have just debuted the second trailer for Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation on the franchise's official YouTube account. While it still features plenty of the series' trademark action, high-speed chases and death-defying stunts, the second trailer shifts focus onto the movie's plot, and teases IMF's impending fight against the shady criminal organization known as "The Syndicate".

The fifth film in the Mission: Impossible franchise, Rogue Nation will once again star Tom Cruise as 'Ethan Hunt'. It will also see the return of Ving Rhames, Jeremy Renner and Simon Pegg to the increasingly popular action series. New faces include Rebecca Ferguson as the enigmatic 'Ilsa Faust' and Alec Baldwin as the somewhat antagonistic Head of the CIA. The movie is helmed by Jack Reacher director Christopher McQuarrie, and is set for a July 31 release.

Check out the new trailer below, and be sure to leave us your thoughts in the comments!
