Tom Cruise has shared a very special message from the set of Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part Two, thanking fans for their Top Gun: Maverick support and wishing everyone a happy holidays!

Tom Cruise has shared a very special message from the set of Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part Two, thanking fans across the globe for their support of Top Gun: Maverick, whilst he free falls during the filming of a critical sequence in the eagerly awaited 2024 action sequel. 

Director Christopher McQuarrie confirmed earlier today that filming had wrapped in South Africa, with the team set to move on to a mysterious new location at the top of the new year. He was not particularly forthcoming with details, but was very appreciative of his team's time in the country. 

Now, it's time to rest and regroup before they head off on their next shooting schedule, which is expected to be in Malta, at the top of the new year. 

As for the aforementioned Top Gun: Maverick, the Joseph Kosinski-directed blockbuster will arrive on Paramount+ on December 22.

In addition to Cruise as the headliner, the highly anticipated McQ-directed action blockbuster will also see the return of Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn, Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust, Academy Award-nominee Vanessa Kirby as the White Widow, Frederick Schmidt as Zola, and Henry Czerny as Eugene Kittridge.

Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One lights the fuse in theaters on July 14, 2023; with the expected franchise finale, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part Two, set to arrive the following year on June 28, 2024.
