Sam Mendes Reportedly Locked In For JAMES BOND 24; Will Likely Return For 25 As Well
Following reports earlier this week that Sam Mendes will return for the 24th instalment in the James Bond franchise, it has now reportedly been confirmed that he will helm both the follow-up to Skyfall AND the movie after it. Read on for details!
According to Showbiz411, they have "confirmed" that Sam Mendes will indeed return to helm James Bond 24 after what they describe as "exhaustive negotiations" which will leave him, "a rich, rich man". The studio simply did not want to let him go after the massive success of Skyfall - the first instalment in the James Bond franchise to gross over $1 billion at the worldwide box office - and the director will apparently also return to helm the 25th movie as well (which will more than likely be Daniel Craig's last). Interestingly, the site also speculates about the return of Adele as singer of the next theme tune following her Academy Award winning tune for the last movie, but say that there has been no talk of that at this stage. How do you guys feel about this news?
