First Official Clip For "Batman: Under the Red Hood."

Batman and Red Hood have a Jaw session!

This will be the eighth entry in the ongoing series of DC Universe Animated Original PG-13 Movies will be distributed on July 27, 2010 by Warner Home Video!

This 54-second clip features an encounter between Batman and Red Hood. In the film, Batman faces his ultimate challenge as the mysterious Red Hood takes Gotham City by firestorm. One part vigilante, one part criminal kingpin, Red Hood begins cleaning up Gotham with the efficiency of Batman, but without following the same ethical code. And when The Joker falls in the balance between the two forces of justice, hard truths are revealed and old wounds are reopened.

Will "Batman: Under the Red Hood." live up to the hype and quality of past DC Animated Features? Find out July 27, 2010. I have to say Batman/Superman: Public Enemies was my favorite out of the eight. Next to that would have to be Wonder Woman.

Hopefully Warner's is reading and taking notes because here is my wish list of future DC Animated Features:

Batman: Knightfall (Come on MAN!!)
Aqua Man
The Flash
Green Lantern: Blackest Night

ill say it again jason todd was a whinny little punk. the fans didnt like him and thats why they killed him off. hes only bad ass now since his return a few years back....he was introduced what in 1981? fans found him obnoxious and that is why fans were given a chance to vote for either his death or to let him live and guess what we wanted him died, tho the numbers were close.

@Lee & Matches- COIE would be great animated, especially since they'll never do it live-action. Kingdom Come, Identity Crisis, and 52 are my personal favorites. I'm quite impressed with Batman's voice in that clip.

@odie00- But I think Jason Todd's origin with him trying to steel the tires off of the Batmobile would work well in the Nolan movies.

J-Man - I'm all about seeing Knightfall! That's the series that got me into comic books as a kid. I mean it literally took me 10 years to find the complete set from Knightfall to Knightsend. Loved it.

@jman did you mean A Death in the Family? Because Killing Joke is where Barbara Gordon gets crippled. Anyway, the scene where Jason gets beaten and killed is supposed to be in this movie. Can't wait to see this! Also, I would love to seen The Long Halloween as an animated feature.

Awesome clip! I have to admit Jensen Ackles is doing a much better job at voicing Red Hood than I thought he would. ^_^ Only one more month!

I'm a Marval guy, always have been, always will be, but DC has been able to put out some great animated features. I thought First Flight, Crisis on two Earth's and Public Enemies was great. Can't wait to see this next one

@Anil-Jason Todd: Red Hood = awesome. Jason Todd: Robin = annoying as shit. I was actually one of the kids in the 80s to vote for the death of Robin II. I'm a Tim Drake guy myself. I still have my action figure of the very first version of Robin in long pants!

odie00 - 6/24/2010, 11:28 AM
@upupandway- haha yeah but i dont see how he would have been able to still them in the comics which was kind of ridiculous let alone nolans universe. and that would be f@#$ed up if they had jason in it instead of dick grayson, i'd be pissed

Upupandaway - 6/24/2010, 11:54 AM
@odie00- Yeah, I'm just talking about the street kid idea. Batman's kind of in hiding after the last film, so he could find Grayson on the streets and take him under his wing. I also like the origin from New Frontier.
