Sorry. I don't see anything in these screenshots that's more impressive than what Marvel has to offer. This looks just like any ordinary cartoon.

@indoraptor12 you're such an ignorant fan-boy, just accept the truth. DC just does it better when it comes to animation. What does "Marvel have to offer" than compares as better(in terms of animation)....what a joke.

@Freshkicks1212

The only one who sounds like a fanboy here is you. Both animation departments are pretty mediocre IMO. But then again, I've been spoiled by the magnificent works of the 90's done by Walt Disney Animation. Speaking of which, guess who currently owns Marvel? That's right, so expect a HUGE gap in quality between Marvel and DC in the next couple of years.

i think this is great and in terms of actual animation i think marvel and dc r around the same but when it comes to voice acting i think dc must have a better casting director and stories are better on dc's side

I'm a biggest marvel fan than dc but IMO dc animated movies r far better. The stories r a lot better and the overall quality is out standing. With that said both dc and marvel 90's cartoons were killer. Spiderman and xmen for marvel. Batman and supes for dc.

@indoraptor12 no offense to the 90's (which had a lot of shows that I grew up on and loved). But the 90's animation kinda SUCKS in comparison to today's standards. And you can keep on dreaming, banking you're argument on hope pertaining to that "big gap in quality" that you speak about.

Because I'm still skeptical about that Disney owning Marvel thing, although I appreciate the financial stability which they have gained, meaning that their shows wont get canceled after the 1st season as seen in recent years.

I still think that they cant compare with the quality of work done by WB Animations and the release of Animated movies which take on a more mature tone involving violence and blood. In terms of Marvel, Disney will most likely want to air these kind of movies on their Network, BUT "Blood and Violence" and Disney just doesn't seen to go together.

Once again we have a Marvel vs DC thread. Now, lets not be ignorant DC is capitalizing in the animation department as of now. But DC will be getting some competition soon.

@TheIntruder I think that its the comics that where it counts after all they are both comicbook companies. Yes, Marvel is pushing out a lot of live action films, there is a saying "quality over quantity". There may be a lot of Marvel films coming out but are they all good. No. Now before someone starts jumping down my throat saying Marvel rules asshole. I love Marvel and can not wait for the Avengers. And me personally I think that both DC and Marvel should adheed Matthew Vaughs words abot too many comicbook films and how it could ruin that film genre. Once the Avengers trilogy is over and if DC is getting this Justice Leauge franchise off the ground thats when they should both go on a movie hiatus for about a good 5-7 years. So they can get back to the real importance the actual comic book.

Avengers: EMH has great depth and is faithful to the source material, but the animation is very simplistic. Iron Man: Armored Adventures is just shit. I'd have to give DC my vote.

Freshkicks1212 - 4/24/2011, 3:16 PM
@TheIntruder Have you ever watched Iron Man AA? Its just TERRIBLE!!! on both the writing and animation and I know you as a comic book fan agree with me. I personally think that it was renewed mainly because was cheap to make and to fill up the time slots on the networks, not because of ratings.

And although I was a big critic on AEMH in favor of Young Justice, with my arguments mostly based on YJ superior, animation and character designs. After watching out the first season of AEMH which I enjoyed, I now think the show is great and liked the direction in which its going over YJ just a little bit.

BUT what I'm saying is to allow the story of the first season of Young Justice which only 9 of 26 episode have aired. To unfold before making a comparison between the two shows.

"2 Quality CBM"....YOU MUST BE A MAD Man!!!!!!! ALMOST ALL DC CBM were great. I MOST DEFINITELY CANNOT say the same for Marvel.

Plus this debate is based on Animated series and Movies NOT Motion Comics. They're just 3mins clips with pictures moving across screen along with audio. The only thing I can think of them being or compared to is just a cheap attempts at what DC has done with its Showcases.

And Stop straying you argument to Live Action Films when you have nothing better to say. I think its safe to say that Marvel is currently dominating that arena and I personally will rather seen an Avengers Live Action Movie over Justice League. And Iron Man over superman (personal choice). But this is not what this argument is about. We are talking mainly about Animated Series and Movies. Please dont stray.

@TheIntruder Because its Easter and the day the Lord risen up I am not going to curse you out today. But before you make any butthurt comments read mine again and you will see that I was somewhat agreeing with you. And for you to say that DC has only had two good quality movies in the last twenty years is utter bull.

@TheIntruder DC has only made two quality movies?!?! What about Watchmen, V for Vendetta, Road to Perdition, A History of Violence, and Red? Not to mention the first two Batman and Superman films.
NeoBaggins
NeoBaggins - 4/24/2011, 5:17 PM
soberchimera61 Those are all excellent DC films. I rented RED on a fluke and now I'm looking for a sequel. Still, DC needs to get it's power players off the bench and stop wasting time on Jonah Hex and side shot projects.

Weird. When it comes to the animated DVDs, DC is killing the game. But MARVEL is running a muck with the live-action. So, DC and MARVEL are both providing me with more geek properties than I can handle. *Rubbing hands together* gooood, gooooood.

@ indo, fresh, frank, intruder, ect

seriously... another dc/marvel debate in the comments section?

Can everyone on this site stop comparing the two companies. The fanboys of both are just going to say that the other is better. And everyone who argues about seems just as big a fanboy as they argue against. Then usually they call each other fanboys and say the other is biased. Stop! you both are. (indo, fresh, frank, intruder)
Freshkicks1212
Freshkicks1212 - 4/25/2011, 6:48 AM
@superman7 ok then I see you point...but I will not consider myself a fanboy for any of the side, because I like products of both companies the same. The main point I'm trying to get across is that currently.

Marvel= Wins in Live Action

DC= Wins in Animation

soberchimera - 4/25/2011, 8:43 AM
@superman7 So what? If it bothers you so much don't come to this website. Democrats and Republicans are still gonna argue and Star Wars and Star Trek fans are always gonna argue. Are you really naive enough to think that there would never be DC vs Marvel battles on this website? At least no one gets killed in these sort of arguments. Why don't you come down from your pedestal and stop acting all high and mighty.
