New Footage From The Goon Finds Its Way Online!

Eric Powell, creator of The Goon, has posted some early test footage for the David Fincher animated adaptation on his Twitter page. It's pretty damn awesome..

Fans of The Goon will love this footage which sees the man himself demonstrate the best thing do do should you encounter a "Slackjaw" on your way home from the boozer..



This is early rough test animation for the David Fincher / Blur Studios / Dark Horse Entertainment produced film THE GOON. Based on the Dark Horse Comic's series by Eric Powell.

Clancy Brown and Paul Giamatti
provided the voices for this test.

THIS IS NOT INDICATIVE OF THE FINAL PRODUCT


As the video tells you, The Goon has yet to find funding which means it may never see the light of day. But how can you not be optimistic looking at this footage. We have already had the full trailer which you can see again below.

Please, for the love of God... someone fund this movie!!! With all of the rehashed and worn out crap Hollywood has been throwing at us, a Goon movie would be a welcome break from the monotony.

this needs to get funded, The Goon is an awesome book, Eric Powell is straight comedic gold and a amazing artist also one of the nicest creators i have ever meet i cant wait for this to come out

A Kickstarter-derived fund would probably go a long way to having the Goon smacking around slackjaws on a big screen. If someone on the site could get a hold of Eric Powell and bribe him with whiskey and rollergirl action,this could be something CBM.com hould wholeheartedly support. Conflict Of Interest be damned! The thought of seeing Gusto listed in the credits as Peaches Valentine makes me laugh.A lot.
