"Beware My Power…Green Lantern’s Light"

Airs Friday, November 11 7/6c on Cartoon Network

Based upon the DC Comics super hero, GREEN LANTERN: THE ANIMATED SERIES follows Earth's Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, who is used to being in dangerous situations — but never anything like this! In the farthest reaches of deep space, Hal patrols the Guardian Frontier, where he must face down invasions from the evil Red Lantern Corps., who have sworn to destroy the Green Lanterns and everything they stand for. With ever-emerging galactic threats, Hal is soon joined by an all-new group of heroes on a mission to protect Guardian Space — and the Green Lantern Corps itself!

In the first part of the two-part series premiere episode, ace test pilot Hal Jordan (voiced by JOSH KEATON), who leads a secret life as Earth's guardian Green Lantern, is called back to Oa. Searching for the culprits behind a series of Green Lantern deaths in "Frontier Space", Hal and his gruff fellow Green Lantern Kilowog (voiced by KEVIN MICHAEL RICHARDSON) "commandeer" The Interceptor, a prototype spaceship powered by pure Green Lantern energy and an advanced artificial intelligence system that Hal names Aya (voiced by GREY DeLISLE).

In the second half of the two-part series premiere episode, Hal and Kilowog discover that a group of Red Lanterns, including the conflicted Razer (voiced by JASON SPISAK) and the vile Zilius Zox (voiced by TOM KENNY) have been targeting and eliminating Green Lanterns in Frontier Space. Along with the help from a surviving Frontier Space Green Lantern Shyir Rev (voiced by KURTWOOD SMITH), Hal and Kilowog must stop the Red Lantern leader Atrocitus (voiced by JONATHAN ADAMS) from destroying Shyir's home planet of Colony 12.

So OA looks like it did in First Flight/ Emerald Knights....people and creatures have similar style to the DCAU...with the same sound effects!!!

Hmmm something more original would have been preferred...

It looks like the 90s show Reboot!

The animation looks fine. You can continue to build on CG overtime. First season Cone Wars doesnt look as good as 3rd season.
As long as the stories are great, i dont care what kind of animation. With Timm Im sure this series will be awesome.
Some people are never happy.

Ehh.. I don't like how... sentient the Red Lanterns are. But I suppose it adds a lot to the show. It reminds me of the Red Lanterns book (which I love) but with less purpose and story behind it. It almost seems like they're too calm.

Plus... Bleez, please. She can be a really cool "Starscream" sort of character. Not as buffoonish, of course, though.

Also, I'm not entirely fond of this animation either, but Transformers: Prime proved itself to me shortly after I said the exact same thing. Clone Wars is great, but I just haven't really gotten in to it.

I think it looks great. The designs of the uniforms and OA are much better than the film. Very clean.

im just not a fan of that animation ... probably more expensive and looks half as good as spider TAS or and other TAS show from the 90's

Nah, over in another article they said the CGI is more expensive than 2D.

Hal sure has some shoulders on him though. It's too late to cry over spilt milk but it would have been nice if they used the Young Justice animation style. Hell they could have started a new DCAU.

How many times are you people going to complain about the same thing over and over again? I swear it's the same people coming in these article posting the exact same thing. Seriously we already know you picky ass fanboys hate the CG, now what else do you have to say? Is the voice acting good? Is the story shaping up to be good?

So far the show looks fine, If it does well it will only continue to improve.

@nuck82, I wouldn't knock the 1990's CGI. That was the decade that produced films like "Antz", "Toy Story", "Toy Story II".

I believe it's the same clip all over again - but whatever! The design might not be the best, but the animation really is smooth, and I like that. And most important of all, the story apparently will do it justice, so can't wait. :)

KryptoGuy That's one nice! :D

Keeping an open mind bout this. The more superhero shite on TV the happier this nerd is. Course I hated Smallville but DC animated has a great batting average.

The animation does look low budget in comparison to other CGI series. I mean I'm not expecting Pixar quality stuff here, but even Jimmy Neutron looks better than this.

I'd have preferred it if they just went old school and did it by hand. This just looks sort of lazy.
