Peabody and Sherman will be a focusing on the cartoon characters origin, as well as the time-traveling stuff they normally do. Peabody is the highly-intelligent dog who helps the boy Sherman, traveling through time using the WABAC (pronounced “Wayback”) Machine.

The Lion King director Rob Minkoff is helming the movie project and said this about the 3D animated adaptation:

“Mr. Peabody is this genetic anomaly. He does have brothers and sisters, all of them non-speaking, no super-smart dogs. He’s an outcast, but has overcome it by being so great at so many things.”

Peabody and Sherman's script is from screenwriters Jeffrey Ventimilia and Joshua Sternin (Yogi Bear).

LEEE777 - This will not be another CGI/live-action film, this will be a fully computer animated movie by DreamWorks Animation films in 3D.

I believe we ran out of original ideas sometime in the late 80's. I'm holding out for the Good Times remake, personally.

@Patriautism amen bro. Secret Squirrel would be amazing.

I honestly do not mind them doing this old cartoon adaptations, as long as they keep them entirely animation, turning them into Live Action just doesn't works for them, look at Garfield and Rocky & Bullwinkle, it just doesn't feels right. I do enjoy the first Scooby-Doo, but that's probably thanks to it being Scrappy's only appareance where I actually enjoy him.

Asd for RDJ being cast as Mr. Peabody, I'm neutral, I thin he is an amazing actor, and he does has this smartass and know-it-all feeling while portraying Stark, that could easily be the reason why he got casted and this might be what this franchise needs to work and feel fresh.

DreamWorks in the animation is also good, they might not be Pixar, but they sure know what they are doing.

I remember those two! I used to watch them all the time when I was little. Here's to hoping the movie won't be like the The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle. With RDJ attached to this I can't imagine it being bad.
