The greatest Comic-Con news has finally arrived. It has been announced that
The Simpsons will cross over with
Family Guy and the greatest show ever in TV history,
Futurama.
The Simpsons producer, Al Jean,
revealed the reasoning behind the blending of these two worlds.
“Futurama is such an easy fit. It’s really funny, and their show lends itself to any variety of plot lines. By having them on, we have a little freedom… The biggest thrill for me is that we don’t have to adjust the animation style.”
The plot is said to revolve around the greatest character ever invented, Bender. It also features Bart Simpson.
“Bender has to come back from the future to kill Bart because there’s something that Bart does now that makes the future really, really, really bad."
The Simpsons also announced that they are crossing over with Seth Macfarlane's show,
Family Guy.
The Simpsons's castmembers Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith and Hank Azaria will lend their voices to the installment, in which Peter and the rest of the Griffins go on a road trip and end up in Springfield. There, they will cross paths with Homer, who graciously greets his new “albino” visitors, and the two families become fast friends. Stewie is impressed with Bart and his assortment of pranks, Lisa tries to figure out exactly what it is that she’s good at, and Marge and Lois do some bonding. Meanwhile, Peter and Homer argue over which beer is better: Pawtucket or Duff.
Well, well, well, it certainly sounds like some life is finally being brought back into
The Simpsons and we have a reason to come back to watch America's favorite yellow family. What are your thoughts about this news that we will not only have a
Family Guy/The Simpsons cross over but a
Simpsons/Futurama cross over? Comment below. Peace and remember...
