From
Star Wars to
Marvel to
DC, Warner Bros, for years, has been publishing
LEGO video games based off of some of our favorite brands and franchises. And now, two more of our favorite franchises are getting the
LEGO treatment, according to "sources linked to WB" (via
Comicbook).
The first is
LEGO Incredibles 2, a video game based on Disney Pixar's
The Incredibles franchise. As the rumored title suggests, the game would seemingly be a tie-in with the upcoming sequel slated to hit theaters June 15, 2018. Given that we've yet to have
The Incredibles get the digital block treatment, it's likely the game would recap the events of the original film and work in plot elements from its sequel. While neither WB nor Disney have confirmed the game, a leaked
LEGO catalogue page specifically mentioned the release of "an unannounced video game linked to an unspecified Pixar property."
The second
LEGO game doesn't seem to have a title yet, as sources are reportedly referring to it as
LEGO DC Villains or
LEGO DC Supervillains. This game is apparently all about the villains of the DC Universe. Given the popularity of DC's villains - and all the villain-centric movies said to be in development - this game certainly has a lot of promise. While we don't yet have details, the game is said to feature "
LEGO renditions of DC staples such as Harley Quinn, The Joker, and Lex Luthor."
TT Games is the rumored developer, which makes sense considering the studio has handled most of the main
LEGO games since 2004's
LEGO Star Wars.
LEGO Incredibles 2 is expected to released around the time Pixar's
The Incredibles 2 hits theaters (June 15), while two sources claim
LEGO DC Villains is expected "at some point over the next year." As a reminder, none of this has been officially announced yet.
