The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Charlie Bean (Tron: Uprising, Robotboy) is set to direct Warner Bros. big screen adaptation of LEGO's Ninjago. According to the site, "Ninjago sees ninjas, samurais, and senseis fight side-by-side against dragons, armies of snake men, and Lord Gagmadon, an evil warlord banished to an underworld who now seeks to return to power." The movie is being written by The Lego Movie producers Dan Lin and Roy Lee, while the directors of that movie - Chris Miller and Phil Lord - will produce Ninjago. How do you guys feel about there being more LEGO movies? Be sure to sound off with your thoughts on this news in the usual place!

Do we really need a Ninjago movie? Seriously WB? I just hope this goes straight to DVD cause this doesn't make any sense at all. Ninjago is crap. Lego went straight downhill ever since they got rid of Bionicle.

My kids LOVE Lego Ninjago, and so do all his school friends. I think WB is just focusing on where they can do better financially, then trying to force these live DC adaptions to be good. The DC movies they have done recently have been sub-parr if not complete garbage! Ninjago is a proven succsess, smart move. Flash, Wonder Woman... barely work as a comic, the comic has been rebooted COUNTLESS times, to try to make them better. UGH!

Dang - does this mean no chance of Tron: Uprising coming back? I would way rather have season 2 of that!

Was it just me or did anyone else read the headline and thought this was a Lego parody of Django?

@megaronman2,

I couldn't agree more with your post. Sure I would love to see Flash or WW on the big screen...but guess who couldn't care less???...My son...He's 11. Now Ninjago...that's a different story. Direct to DVD, or in the theater I think this will be a cash cow for WB.

@thejacky...

you lost all credibility with me when your statement "Lego went straight downhill ever since they got rid of Bionicle."
