ANT-MAN Concept Art Showcases An Alternate Design For 'Yellowjacket'

We've seen several different designs for Scott Lang's Ant-Man suit from concept illustrator Andy Park, and now he's provided a glimpse of an alternate version of the villainous Yellowjacket's costume. This one isn't a million miles away from the final look, but there's a lot more blue!

Corey Stoll's Ant-Man baddie may have been a tad underwhelming, but he did have a pretty cool costume! This alternate version from Marvel concept artist Andy Park features a slightly different helmet and color-scheme from the one used in the movie. What do you think? Is this better or are you glad they went with the design they did?

The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe introduces the newest member of the Avengers: Marvel’s Ant-Man. Armed with the amazing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang joins forces with his new mentor Dr. Hank Pym to protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from ruthless villains! With humanity’s fate in the balance, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a daring heist against insurmountable odds. Filled with humor, awesome special effects and exclusive bonus features, this action-packed adventure takes you to new levels of pulse-pounding excitement!

Starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Judy Greer, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Pena, John Slattery, and Hayley Atwell, Ant-Man is set to be released digitally on November 17th and on DVD and Blu-ray on December 8th.

Looks like a badass video game character but not really Yellowjacket. What they chose is far better.

It's so weird to see movie concept art where what was chosen really is the best out of all of them

I know, right? Maybe the key is like 5 extra years of preproduction.

The one they went with is way better. He's one of the coolest looking villains in CBM history to me.

Yellow Jacket himself was an decent villain for the most part, but his design was awesome, up there with Vision and Iron Man in terms of the most impressive character design.

I thought the movie suit was awesome. This one looks like something from Robo Cop, Irobot.
and Why wouldn't the Yellow Jacket suit be yellow, You think this suit would be called Blue Balls?

Damn, I really wish they salvaged that YJ suit for Lang or even O'Grady down the line. That thing is so [frick]ing slick.

It actually looks like a terrifying giant human/yellow jacket hybrid robot.

Although, this one.... remove the lights, change the blue to scarlet red, brighten the gold a little bit, and add a couple more appendages and you've got a decent beginning to a cool Iron Spider design.

@YeezusWept

I wouldn't be surprised if that suit makes another appearance down the line or an upgraded for of the suit.
Didn't Hydra get some pym particles in the deleted scenes? Still could've happened. Maybe Lang or Pym go crazy and use the Yellow Jacket suit in a future Antman film.

I think Cyrax had a little to do with the inspiration of the suit.

Yep, this isn't a WB movie to choose a bad design just to [frick] with the fans.

The reason it's not yellow is probably because it wasn't always going to be called Yellow Jacket. Wasn't it originally Nano-Warrior or something like that?

This one looks very Chitauri-esque, amiright? Maybe originally they planned to incorporate Chitauri tech into the design.
