Regardless of what some thought of the teaser, I think this movie will deliver big time! May not have the success financially like some of the others, but think $5-600 Mil would be a great number for this one...

@batz11

I have a slightly more conservative guess, I'm thinking closer to $450-$500 million. But that would be a huge success for a Paul Rudd movie. The trailer definitely intrigued me, if not excited me. What excited me was when Edgar Wright left. It gave me faith that I may enjoy it.

Yeah, probably right, shit, even Cap 1 made less than 400M, so anything above that would be a good take, but think the momentum of the MCU will carry it slightly higher...if critics like it, could boost it even more...you're #s seem about right...of course, people will call it a "failure" if it does money like that, lmao...

Take my money, before the movie comes out and tanks and I blame it for everything that went wrong in my life.

People also predicted that GOTG would make $400-500 million, but it did $770 million. My bet on Ant-Man is around $600 million. First, this is Marvel, and second, the movie will be carried by the success of AoU.

@fettastic Ha, that's pretty much EVERY non-fanboy's reaction to a character called "Ant-Man". That's why it was so important for the teaser to actually sell the audience on why the heck we needed someone called Ant-Man in the first place...and it really didn't do that.

But then again, most people had the exact same reaction to Guardians of the Galaxy. The only difference was that the first teaser for Guardians was 10 times more effective at setting up the tone of the movie, the characters, and the personality of the film.

I'm sure the next trailer for Ant-Man will be much better.

It's nice that we agree on something for once. Wright is a great filmmaker I would say...it's just his style doesn't suit my tastes. And I hate that Simon Pegg (other than in Star Trek).

funny, my feelings about this movie are the opposite of merc's … my expectations plummeted once Wright left

I'm really curious to see how audiences will react to this movie though. Only way to know is to wait and see, though

@EzioKenway1225 Yeah don't get me wrong, I loved the things you just mentioned. It definitely seems more emotional, personal, and smaller-scaled, and that's probably exactly what we need right after the epicness of Age of Ultron.

But it'll take a more convincing trailer for the general audience to feel the same way too. Because right now, the majority can't even get past the name of the character. But again, I'm confident the marketing will be much better with the next trailer.

I would assume the majority would be upset with Wright's departure. I'm just one of the few lost souls that can't stand his movies.
