Get A Closer Look At 'Yellowjacket' Concept Art From Marvel's ANT-MAN
Earlier today, we got a teeny tiny glimpse of Ant-Man's villain. Thankfully, a much larger version has now found its way online, giving us a much closer look at the movie's pint-sized baddie, Yellowjacket (played by Corey Stoll, House of Cards). Check it out...
It's been a great day for Ant-Man news, with some major new plot details and comments from Kevin Feige and company on Edgar Wright's departure. So, what does this image tell us about Yellowjacket? Well, it seems like a safe bet that Darren Cross has constructed this suit for nefarious purposes, as the tendrils have blades on the end of them for a start. Could Yellowjacket be something he hopes to sell to the military? That would explain why Hank Pym wants to take it out of Cross' hands! It also has wings, allowing the villain to take flight without the use of ants. Finally, some have pointed out similarities to Ultron...with Ant-Man coming out after Avengers: Age of Ultron, could Cross be using the android as a basis for his design? We'll have to wait and see!

The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time with Marvel Studios’ “Ant-Man.” Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
Starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Judy Greer, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Pena, John Slattery, and Hayley Atwell, Ant-Man is set to be released on July 17th, 2015.
