Following the news that Joss Whedon has decided to not have Hank Pym be Ultron's creator in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, io9 reached out to Ant-Man director Edgar Wright to find out whether or not that means the character won't be appearing in that movie either. "Just now, we were interviewing Edgar Wright about his new film The World's End, and he told us that we will, indeed, meet Hank Pym in Wright's Ant-Man movie." Various comments made in the past have led many to conclude that Ant-Man will feature Pym in flashbacks and a new hero - perhaps Scott Lang or Eric O'Grady - inheriting the mantle. What that means for The Wasp is unclear, but those fans upset at the news that Pym is being excluded from The Avengers: Age of Ultron can at least now breath a sigh of relief with this confirmation that the character is still heading to the big screen. What form that will be in remains to be seen! What do you guys think?

Would love if Pym was invented Ultron, but here's what I think...

* Pym invents a way to shrink himself AND invents a robot who becomes Ultron? Too much. Stick with one thing. And that thing will be shrinking.
* I bet one thing Marvel did to lure RDJ back was tell him Stark invents a robot that becomes evil and he has to stop him. THAT is a great hero's arc. Tony's the genius inventor of mechanical things. Makes sense.

Edgar Wright has held Hank Pym hostage all these years because he can't get his Ant-Man movie together. Otherwise we would have Hank Pym in Avengers 2! Marvel is holding back using Pym just for Wright!

I never read the rumors about it being anyone BUT Hank Pym, so the title of this article made me laugh. I figured it was someone being a smart ass after Joss announced that Hank wouldn't be in A2.

I think that Stark probably has one armor left, just in case shit hits the fan and he needs to suit up. That armor will probably be the ultimate armor, and he'll use it at the end of the movie to fight Ultron.

Marvel then want it to flop, its an unproven superhero movie called Ant-Man and it only has its tie into Avengers going for it (Wright is not a big enough director to make people go bananas) and its going up against the sequel to the most critically and publicly loved Bond film in a long time and the first Bond film to cross a billion world wide. Skyfall 2 is gonna have like Avengers or TDK levels of hype and Ant-Man cant compete with it solely by promoting its connection to Avengers, it just cant.

Its no doubt Whedon and Edgar will do stellar jobs and Whedon could explain till the cows come home in a perfect manner how Ultron is created, BUT it is a shame they feel they have to do this, whats wrong with cannon! and wasp is pathetic keep her away.
