@Wannabe Its Avengers AOU all over again. I mean come on Marvel, do we really need 4 tv spots released in one freaking day? And people don't give me that "if you think there are too many, don't watch it" argument, i'm not watching them, i haven't since like tv spot number 10. But the point stands, people whined about TASM 2 having too many trailers, or terminator Genysis, this and AOU are just as [frick]ing bad.

I'm thinking Ant-Man will surprise with a $100M opening weekend like how Guardians of the Galaxy surprised with $94.3M and look how much it made worldwide. I'm also hoping Ant-Man will be Marvel's first original standalone film to make $1 billion worldwide after Guardians of the Galaxy's success because this movie is being immediately released after Avengers; Age of Ultron and also because Ant-Man is the last film in Phase 2 of the MCU and it's the last ultimate setup to next May's Captain America: Civil War which is where Ant-Man will next appear in.

It can't be an Ant Man comments section without Omarvls telling us he isn't interested. Awaiting the promoting of DC and Marvels 2016 films.

lol Why do people keep boasting its success as a surprise to come? Like I said before, a degree of success is already guaranteed thru branding. Its from a popular brand. Fanboys just want to use numbers to equate its quality if it lacks.

Sly devils.

@Neobaggins

How else would you reasonably 'measure' a movie (which is a product of a business)? The whole community can't have thesis long debates about each qualitative art decision on a comic book movie. When there is an impasse, the minimum all parties in a debate can do is to use statistics as method of quantifying results.

Don't confuse anyone debating the "degree of success" of anything using
"number." I would argue I see fans of comic books using reason and pragmatism to defend creative works from unwarranted antagonists.
