News has been pretty scarce involving Marvel Studios' Ant-Man project. We knew Director Edgar Wright had been hard at work developing the screenplay with co-writer Joe Cornish. And just now at the SDCC panel for Cornish's Attack The Block, Wright revealed the following..

Joe and I turned in a draft on Monday… we’ve got some concept art… I love it and hope we get to make it soon.

Script finished(at least a first draft), concept art out there just waiting to find its way online. This is good news, maybe now we will finally start to hear a bit more about it. Don't expect any casting news too soon, but you never know of course!

Meh... I gotta admit i've become more of a fan of antman by watching Earth's Mightiest Heroes (and im 20 lol) but I don't think a film revolving just on him would work. Bring in Wasp, and maybe have Hawkeye in there to help sell the film more. Give it that spy thriller edge that was rumored

Ant Man is a totally ace character! I can't wait for this! I'm even slightly more excited to see him than a second (or third) outing for his counterparts

I love this guys work, but I just don't see a feature film of Antman working with this team behind.
Hope I'm wrong but Antman's gonna be a tough one to crack in general.

Ant man is no joke, just the fact alone that he can get small enuff to sneak up behind you then grow to the height of a building and F*ck you UP!

Waitaminnit....that "concept art" you're showing there isn't Ant-Man. That's THE Ant from Irrational's totally awesome Freedom Force superhero RPG. Cool reference, though. Hope to see this movie rev into production soon.

He can shrink and grow big... big freaking deal, he still sucks. Again i ask why is getting his own movie? He was better off in avengers movie.

Sweet... I imagine any announcement about it getting made would be saved for next month's Disney convention.

I agree with @threebigtacos. Except the Hawkeye part. Maybe someone they haven't brought out yet.

I don't like Ant-Man, but with Wright on board I am looking forward to seeing what he can do with the character.

Ant-Man is an interesting concept for a movie but I have horrible visions of it being to similar to "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" when Pym is miniaturised.

I agree with @EdParker: those of you who think Ant-Man is boring are forgetting that he does more than just shrink. He also can become "Giant Man," which is way cool. (Oh, and create unstoppable homicidal robots. But I am getting ahead of myself...)

We need a film to bring him and Wasp into the MCU and set them up to join the Avengers in time for the 2nd team movie. (We could also use a Black Panther movie before then!)

It should have a lower budget than the tent poles, because it won't make as much money, but honestly it shouldn't take as much FX work. An entertaining, low-budget superhero thriller could be a sleeper hit.

Hopefully this draft is finally good enough for Marvel to pull the trigger.

@Cherokeesam. I'm not sure that's The Ant. I'm pretty sure that's Marvel's Irredemable Ant-Man, Eric O'Grady.

Cool, I don't know much about Ant-Man or Wasp, but I wouldn't mind seeing this, the real question however is would the general audience accept it?

not really that much of a fan of ant-man but i'd still wouldn't complain about seeing a movie of the little man.it must star the wasp as well.

1) Now, it depends on the actor. They might want to pick a washed up but used to be popular actor. Plus a ditzy, cute as pie leading lady
2) Avoid crowded dates
3) Should be marketed like Spider-Man with logo and kid friendly attitude
3) Ant Man is really alt-Fantastic Four
4) DC dudes, the Atom sucks but Hank Pym is not. Don't peg both in the same hole.

Does anyone really believe this film is gonna happen? How long has it been since we first heard about it? Jeez!
