Amber Heard is set to reprise the role of Mera for Aquaman 2, and the actress is continuing to tease her return as the Atlantean warrior on Instagram.
Though the DC Comics adventure is scheduled to begin production soon, cameras are not rolling yet, so unless Heard is fond of wearing her outfit around the house on her days off, we assume this a shot from the set of the first movie.
In it, the Zack Snyder's Justice League star can be seen getting some shuteye while in-costume as Mera. She captioned the photo, "Forgot my pyjamas. #tbt #aquaman2."
Heard confirmed that she'd signed on to return as Mera last year, but many fans have been up in arms since it came to light that she lied about certain aspects of the legal case against ex partner Johnny Depp - and about donating her settlement to charity - and some feel she should be held equally (or at least partially) accountable since the accusations cost the actor his part in Fantastic Beasts 3.
We recently found out that Game of Thrones alum Pilou Asbaek was in final talks to join the cast, though no details on his role were provided. Patrick Wilson (who's been sharing some photos of his own) and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II are also expected to return as Ocean Master and Black Manta, respectively.
We still don't know what to expect from the plot, but it's assumed that Manta will be the main villain this time. There's also a good chance that The Trench will feature more prominently, given director James Wan's fondness for the deep-sea terrors.
