"He's great, he's awesome," Chris Hesmworth told MTV News about James Spader. "I haven't met him yet, but it's funny [because] the whole Avengers thing is starting to come up in conversations and I'm like, 'God, I still have another film to shoot [and] Thor 2 hasn't even come out yet.' The script [for The Avengers 2] isn't even done yet, but I know Joss Whedon is [writing away]." As for the titular villain in the Marvel sequel, Hemsworth says, "I haven't had to look into it and understand it yet. With all honesty, I have no idea." What do you think?

So far starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson and James Spader, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen in negotiations to join, The Avengers: Age of Ultron is directed by Joss Whedon from his screenplay, and is slated to begin production in March 2014 and release on May 1, 2015.

He has a new movie, not Thor, that I saw a preview for that looked really good.

As far as reading comics, that's not needed. He just needs to be familiar with his character and that story before he begins filming.

He probably thinks Ultron is a weird version of the Japanese character Ultraman.

Never really got the chance to say this, but you guys should watch BlackList. James Spader plays the lead villain...and he's scary as [frick].

To me, he sounds kinda whiny about having to be Thor.

As you can see in that Rush trailer Hemsworth is not a thick dude, kind of tall and skinny, so it must be a constant struggle for him to keep his mass up for the character.

4 movies in 5 years with Thor in them. That's great.

He knows Thor. Thor the character does not know anything about Ultron before encountering it so no need to read up on Ultron for him really...

I hope at some point along this ride, Thanos turns Thor to glass and backhands him into a million pieces, like he did in The Infinity Gauntlet storyline. Not because I dislike him, just because it would be awesome. Also, I hope we get some Beta Ray Bill easter eggs.

I will be sorely disappointed if Thor 3 isn't Beta Ray Bill, Surtur, and maybe Enchantess

Not that it's hard but Thor 2 will easily be the best CBM this year.

Ya'll shouldn't talk mess cause the guy doesn't read every Marvel book in the world.... This is a job to him guys and the guy has a busy schedule of movies plus the dude is married(a pretty hot ass chick) and they just had a baby, so give some slack.
Atleast he doesn't disappoint at playing Thor

You are so right. Besides, what good would it do. The movies are the movies. They are NOT the comic books. What could he possibly glean from the source material. For example, Hemsworth might mistakenly believe that Hank Pym (who?) was the creator of Ultron. And we all know it was Tony Stark.
Sheesh! Bullet dodged on that one.
Imagine how confusing that might have been.

"Sometimes you Marvelites blow me away... When someone says they don't read too much source material and have no idea about stuff because they dont read the comics you guys throw a hissy fit.. and by that i mean you guys go on full on bitchfest... hahah Oh you marvelites are just backtracking now.... sad"

Qouted for truth, reminds of when Glenn Close was casted in Guardians and people started bitching because she didn't know about the character and stated that she was just doing it for a paycheck. The rabid dogs weren't happy at all and started knocking her in the article. They're actors ffs, they dont have to be comic book readers or fans, this is why I commend the actors who dont BS or pander with the "I've read about this character all my life" or another false cliche line like that, when you know that they're just bullshitting to save face.

I loved it when Wolverine tried to attack Thanos. Thanos just turned Wolverines bones into rubber then just dropped him on the ground.

Yeah, "Rush" is getting rave reviews and will likely grab some Oscar buzz, so I'd suspect that Helmsworth will have more interest in talking about that than "Thor 2" or "Avengers 2".

Rush looks good and to be honest Hemsworth is still one of the best castings in Marvel movies he blew me away in Thor and he was the character I was most interested in seeing more of in Avengers.
