AVENGERS 4: Robert Downey Jr. & Mark Ruffalo Spotted Filming Critical Hulk & Iron Man Scene

We've already caught a look at Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston filming a flashback sequence and it looks like Robert Downey Jr. will also be involved. Plus, we also have confirmation on the Hulk!

Based on the amount of Avengers 4 set photos we've been seeing over the past few days, it's probably not a stretch to assume that the biggest Marvel film to date may be slowly approaching the end of principal photography as Marvel doesn't tend to lift the veil on their big-budget productions until the absolute last leg of their lengthy filming schedules, something we've seen them do time and time again, including on Avengers: Infinity War, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and Captain America: Civil War.

Filming is expected to wrap up on or around December 13th, which means a number of cast members should be gearing up to wrap up in the next few weeks and move on to different projects before they have to reassemble for the Infinity War press tour next April.

Following those flashback photos of Thor and Loki, we've received fresh new shots of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark and Mark Ruffalo in his mo-cap suit as the Incredible Hulk and they both a look a little beaten up. Now, while some of RDJ's photos do confirm his presence in the flashback, he is also photographed separately, sporting a few bruises, in what looks to be a SWAT uniform.

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment - the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.

I can just tell A4 is gonna be so trippy. You're gonna have to pay dead close attention, and have pretty much all the knowledge from all the MCU movies.

Well, it says on the screen behind Ruffalo - "Public transportation suspended in Midtown + New York on the bottom" - Unless some time travel stuff is at play via Back to the Future 2 (going back to The Avengers finale), New York is in for another attack. Or a flashback, cause Stark is wearing the same shirt, but this clearly looks to be new stuff so who knows.

this theory about Infinity War is a little far fetched, and at the same time the possibility of it being somewhat accurate is blowing my mind

@Spidey91 - I can't believe more people aren't talking about this. After seeing Ragnarok, I'm convinced that this has to be true (just look at the outfits!); however, the article has one of the characters wrong. It would be Korg...not Hulk (just look at the armor and the fact that Hulk is in the infinity trailer)

i can't wait for the Avengers reaction to talking Hulk, i love talking/smart Hulk.

What exactly makes this scene "critical"? There's zero context here.

Just got out of Ragnarok. Disappointed to say the least. First trailer got me really pumped up. Second as well. Avoided all tv spots and spoilers. But it honestly didn't do much for me. Idk, its getting to the point where there's no more suspense in these movies. Maybe my tastes are changing or Marvel has gotten lazy when it comes to story. I did like Korg's humor though. Dude stood out to me the most. Hulk was great too even though I always hated talking Hulk. Hela was great in the beginning, but throughout just became your average Marvel villain. Thor was... entertaining? At the end of the day, it just seems like Marvel didn't know what to do with the Thor franchise, so they decided to replicate guardians.

I remember when the first Iron Man came out and they were talking about how difficult and careful they're trying to be in building this universe because of the realism in Iron Man 1.. cut to 10 years later and these movies are full out zany comedies

@TheBlueMorpho - I'm sorry... Ragnarok was quintessentially zany. To call it otherwise would be misleading. Was it an unconventional comedy? Yes. Does that negate the fact that it's also an action/adventure movie? No. The vast majority of the dialogue was hilarious in a very refreshingly unorthodox sense...the definition of "zany comedy" (something that the director is praised for in ALL of his past endeavors). That, however, doesn't change the fact that it was fantastic, absolutely engaging, and had a true sense of heart.

@RatmanAndBobin -

Yes it had zany moments but I wouldn't call the movie zany as a description of the movie itself.

Space-Adventure is what I would go with.
