AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Directors Spill The Beans On Thanos' "Psychotic" But "Compelling" Motivations
The directors of Avengers: Infinity War have dropped some fresh details about what we should expect from Thanos in the movie, teasing his psychotic plan as he looks to finally wield the Infinity Gauntlet.
Avengers: Infinity War will finally put the spotlight on Thanos after his brief appearances in movies like Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Age of Ultron, something we've all known since the title of the sequel was first revealed. The Mad Titan will be joined by his children in the form of the Black Order when they arrive on Earth looking to gather the Infinity Stones so Thanos can rule the universe.
In a new interview, Joe and Anthony Russo have shed some light on why they believe fans should be excited about seeing Thanos in action, with the latter teasing the villain's main motivations here.
"I’m most excited for the audience to learn about [Thanos]," the director says. "I think he’s a very interesting and complex villain. That’s why I like him, that’s why I’m excited for the audience to learn about him. I think his motivations are, albeit, psychotic, compelling, and I think that this, in a lot of ways, is his movie, so it’s going to be very interesting to see how people respond to Thanos."
Marvel Studios has had something of a villain problem in the past so expectations are high for Thanos to deliver. In fairness to the Russos, they didn't let us down with Alexander Pierce or Zemo, so chances are the cosmic bad guy will be a lot of fun to watch. Share your thoughts on these comments below.
