The GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Check Their Voicemail In A New Deleted Scene From AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

With the impending arrival of Avengers: Infinity War on Digital HD next week, Marvel Studios has shared yet another deleted scene, this time featuring the Guardians in the immediate wake of losing Gamora.

While everyone suffered losses in Avengers: Infinity War, it's hard to say anyone was left more decimated than the Guardians of the Galaxy who were left with only two surviving members - Rocket (Bradley Cooper) and Nebula (Karen Gillan) - by the time the credits rolled.

Ahead of next Tuesday's digital release, Entertainment Weekly has shared a new deleted scene that takes place shortly after the Guardians lost Gamora (Zoe Saldana) to Thanos (Josh Brolin) on Knowhere as Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Drax (Dave Bautista), and Mantis (Pom Klementieff) try to determine their next move. It is a little too light-hearted in nature, so it makes sense why the scene was ultimately cut, but it's still interesting little moment between the three characters and helps explain how they linked up with Nebula on Titan.

An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War” brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their Super Hero allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.

Sad they didn't complete/finish the VFX. I know that costs millions, but they made so much money...

The part about the Zune, I can see why that was cut. But the part about the coded message should have been left in.

I do like however that Quill was listening to Ace Frehley. Seems appropriate that he would be listening to the Spaceman!!

@HeavyMetal4Life - It's a shame we didn't get a Kiss song on one of the mixtapes.

@Toecutter - it is indeed! Especially with Quill being the person he is, songs like Love Gun, Strutter, Deuce, etc. could have appeared on the tape.

@HeavyMetal4Life - Exactly. It was just a tremendous missed opportunity IMO.

@Toecutter - Quill could have even made jokes about trying to have a tongue as long as Gene's...

A lot of work to get to gag about the recorded messages from Nebula, fine with it being cut.

@PantherKing - this thing is taking longer than expected. all it needs to happen is for RDJ to make a call and he could probably get Gunn back in less time than it takes to take a piss.

mu gut feeling tells me it's going to happen. this needs a happy ending.

Can we have more scenes with Cap instead? I was so pumped watching that trailer but in the movie...Thor was the man, not Cap.

And yeah, Peter is just a dude. :3

I like it, but unnecessary so makes sense to cut it. Nebula stating that she's contacting Mantis was enough to fill in this scene. They got the message, they're going to Titan, done. Also, we got two good comedic scenes out of the Guardians with Thor's interaction and then Drax's invisibility thing. I may complete the scene by putting New York Groove into the beginning of the scene lol.

Also, the man who directed Guardians is a degenerate. Kidding. But not kidding.

hey Disney: rehire James Gunn you a**holes.

take advantage of the Fox buyout and rehire him, the news will fly under the radar if that's what you want.

Yeah, glad they cut that. It feels more about the shenanigans than advancing the plot or doing anything meaningful with the characters. IMO it's not very funny and a little bit of the Guardians goes a long way.
