AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Set Photos Seemingly Confirm The Presence Of Corvus Glaive & The Black Order

Thanos is coming to Earth, and it looks like he's not coming alone as new set photos have surfaced, seemingly confirming the introduction of the Black Order to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Check it out!

After catching a brief look at Paul Bettany as The Vision coming under attack last week, by a mysterious group of villains, that were decked out in all-black costumes, a much better look at one of them has surfaced and it just may confirm a very popular fan theory.

A Twitter user has posted new photos and a new video from the Avengers: Infinity War set in Edinburgh, Scotland, offering our best look yet at an unidentified villain and while, the actor is in a mo-cap suit, the intricately designed staff in his right hand might just confirm his identity as it bears a striking similarity to the weapon Corvus Glaive of the Black Order wields in the comics.

It's hard to tell what he wants with the Vision, but if we had to wager a guess, he's likely been assigned by the Mad Titan, along with the rest of the Order, to recover the Mind Stone. The photos also more or less reveal that these villains will be entirely CGI, meaning it's unlikely we'll hear about any actors being cast to provide the voices for these roles until much later in the production process.

Check out the photos below:

Plus, more photos of The Vision have surfaced and Elizabeth Olsen has arrived on set, which probably means the stunt double we saw a few weeks back was actually the Scarlet Witch and that she'll have a big part to play in the battle to save Vision.

How big of a threat does Thanos pose, you ask? Big enough to span two epic films, beginning with Marvel’s “Avengers: Infinity War Part 1” on May 4, 2018, and concluding in Marvel’s “Avengers: Infinity War Part 2” on May 3, 2019 for one massive cinematic event.

“We’ve always had a plan since Nick Fury broke into Tony Stark’s house and told him he’s part of a bigger universe," recalled Feige. "'Avengers: Infinity War Part 1' is the beginning of the culmination of everything that has come before."

Avengers: Infinity War will feature:

This will have the same *magic* the First Avengers had.
Only difference will be the audience.
Now they have a much larger fanbase.

@Doomsday8888 - It will I can just feel it. Especially with new characters crossing over for the first time

If that is corvus glaive(which it looks like) I wish the used prostectics instead of mo-cap to bring him to the big screen...

@ATrueHero1987 - Enough with the prosthetics obsession. CGI is MUCH MUCH better these days, especially with their budget. There's zero need to sacrifice size and presence for guys in rubber suits anymore.

ATrueHero1987 - 3/31/2017, 10:00 PM
@GhostSurfer - prosthetics obession?? Look for a characters like black dwarf, yea CGI. Characters like Corvus or Proxima Midnight, I still feel they don't need to be CGI.
Luigi
Luigi - 3/31/2017, 10:25 PM
@GhostSurfer - Cyborg is a great example in overdoing CG when it's unnecessary.

@ATrueHero1987 - I don't know, I'd say Hulk, Groot and Rocket look great. Motion capture is pretty darn good and ages well (Gollum still looks great 15 years later)

@ATrueHero1987 - it's simple, with prosthetics, you'll get a near perfect look but will restrict actor movements considerable...With CG, you'll get a near perfect look without restricting actor movements.
So please, stop this nostalgic obsession with prosthetics.

@Luigi - A fully CGI creation is easier to get right than one that has a filmed human face composited onto it, but you have a point. Until we see the character's look and what they need to do with it, acting wise, it's hard to judge the necessity of the CGI.

LordDaredevil
LordDaredevil - 4/1/2017, 11:15 AM
@GhostSurfer - That's why Thanos' hands look the size of his skull, right?

Please. Just because you can't see the value of prosthetics and practical effects doesn't mean there's no need for good prosthetics compared to CGI.
GhostSurfer
GhostSurfer - 4/1/2017, 2:43 PM
@LordDaredevil - Have you seen Thanos' hand size in the comics? If you had, you wouldn't pick such a ridiculous thing to criticize.
GhostSurfer
GhostSurfer - 4/1/2017, 2:45 PM
@MonsieurCringe - And you'll get the in-human proportions for characters like Groot, Thanos, Super Giant, Black Dwarf, Hulk, etc which prosthetics/makeup just can't capture.

Ragnarocknroll - 4/3/2017, 12:15 AM
@ATrueHero1987 - Whether or not I am going to respond to you is my prerogative. You can choose to respond back or ignore. However, your comment is basically not acknowledging the benefits of CG at all while 'wishing' that it were prosthetics instead. Hence 'Nostalgic obsession'

@GhostSurfer - Agreed.

LordDaredevil

@MonsieurCringe - The difference is Thanos' hands are proportionate to his body in the comics and don't look blatantly unreal.

Ragnarocknroll
Ragnarocknroll - 4/10/2017, 12:07 AM
@LordDaredevil - No it isn't. His hands are almost ape-like in the comics.

Man, it sure will suck when that stone gets ripped out of Vision's head.
Chewtoy
Chewtoy - 4/1/2017, 3:49 AM
@Ironnick - How will people react if it turns out that the Vision is just wearing the stone, and he can take it off any time he wants?
MiopTop
MiopTop - 4/1/2017, 5:23 AM
@Ironnick - Am I the only one that doesn't understand why people think that would kill him ? Dr. Cho was creating a functioning android body before she even knew about the stone, so what makes you think he needs it to live since he was designed to live without it
Deonox
Deonox - 4/1/2017, 8:30 AM
@MiopTop - Because Vision is an AI given life and is meant to be powered by the mind stone. Based on what we saw, Vision shouldn't be able to live without the mind stone
MiopTop
MiopTop - 4/1/2017, 9:06 AM
@Deonox - Again, he was designed to live without it. Cho had no idea the stone existed when she was creating him.
Deonox
Deonox - 4/1/2017, 1:12 PM
@MiopTop - Sorry, ummmm but she didn't create the body til after ultron. She never had the vibranium.
