While greater marketing endeavors are expected this month for Iron Man 3, Marvel Studios’ first Phase Two installment, promotion for Marvel’s The Avengers No. 1 Blu-ray and DVD release is subsiding. And as part of those descending efforts, the Second Screen app has been updated with more material. Joining the multiple collections of never-before-seen still photos from Marvel’s The Avengers production previously posted, a new behind-the-scenes featurette has surfaced in addition to concept art and...more photos. Check them out!

Marvel Studios presents in association with Paramount Pictures “Marvel’s The Avengers”--the super hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel super heroes Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.

Starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson, & directed by Joss Whedon from a screenplay by Joss Whedon, “Marvel’s The Avengers” is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since. Prepare yourself for an exciting event movie, packed with action and spectacular special effects, when “Marvel’s The Avengers” assemble on May 4, 2012. The film is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. In addition to "Marvel's The Avengers," Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on the Marvel characters including "Iron Man 3" on May 3, 2013!; & “Thor 2” on November 8, 2013.

@Jollem- I agree, but then Thor went toe to toe against The Hulk and showed what a bad ass he was.

I think it served as a lesson to Thor, he decided he was protector of earth and didn't realise that there were people who could defend themselves here, so he went into that fight expecting to walk it.

That's why Iron Man had the upper hand for however long, it was Thor getting over his cockyness and the fight didn't quite last long enough for Thor to rip him apart, though he took a hell of a beating, armor battered etc.

I think the reason why some people including myself are a little upset by that fight is because we've seen the comic book fight, where Thor makes Iron Man look like a toy and beats the sh!t out of him.

Can someone tell me why Chris Hemsworth has a stunt double because every time I see a clip or picture he is doing any of the stunts.

@Niuhll - Hell of a beating?? I would say he was caught by surprise by an earthling in a metal suit.. but took a "hell of a beating" not sure I agree. Thor took a repulser blast to the face without a scratch, was head-butted with a harder titanium coating again without a scratch and gave some back!

i personally thing Thor seemed under powered in the Avengers... but at the same time if Joss 100% reflected the comic-book it would have made Iron man look like a "Toy"

I thought they had Thor tough as Hell.... Iron man 400% was lucky to get outta the fight in one peice, in fact 400% was the only thin' that kept him in the fight.
Took a repulser blast to the face, didn't hurt him. Sandpapered against a mountain, still no affect.
Went toe to toe with the Hulk... 'nuff said.
Fell from the Hellacarrier in the cage, broke free, and dug up a crap load of ground when he hit the ground.

@Gary8264 - hmmmm kinda have-to agree with most of that :-)but still I don't think we've seen the prince of thunder at this hight yet... not by a long bloody shot

@corron Iron Man, took a hell of a beating, not Thor.

Thor's exposure to Earth was a handful of people, his vow to protect Earth was largely Jane Foster, he spent a handful of days on Earth, how can he know what is a threat and what isn't at that point?

On top of vowing to protect his brother who should serve his punishment on Asgard. It's all a learning curve. He learns who is allies are. He learns to be a team player.

People say there was no character development, I disagree.

No worries, I worded it badly. I'd say it was an even fight though, if Cap hadn't step in Thor would have had it.

5'8 RDJ is rocking some pretty massive shoe-lifts here to look eye-to-eye with 6'0 Chris Evans.

wtf Whedon? RDJ's fine as he is. Between this and Guy Ritchie making him wear lifts for Sherlock, RDJ must feel pretty shitty about the whole thing.

One. Yes he is mighty. Point?

Two. How was it senseless? He cares for his brother, reasoning with him to the end, he sees it as his duty to not only protect Loki but punish him as well. Then, boom, sideswiped by Iron Man, who started kicking his ass. Self defence.

Three. How many mortals does Thor now that are red and gold, made of metal and packed to the brim with weapons? He couldn't of known what Iron Man was capable of.

Four. Yes, and that is Thor and Loki's mistake. Yeah they are stronger, but humans CAN fight for themselves, they are capable of great feats and great sacrifice. They are, in other ways capable of being strong, through science (Iron Man, Hulk, Cap).

And to add my own. Five. The whole reason he hit Cap, was the juxtapose it with Thor saving caps ass and help him up later on. They don't just get on and respect each other off the bat, Thor is a warrior, honour is earned.
