The only reason IM3 isn't number 2 on MY list is because I felt the final 'Iron Legion' fight scene could have been a little more expanded. Other than that, it's arguably Marvel's best film to date in terms of the subtext of the main character AND the times we live in. That being said, I'm finding Iron Man 2 near or at the bottom of most of the majority of these lists, and I completely agree.

If it weren't for Mickey Rourke's performance and what I consider to be the definitive Black Widow look in a MCU film so far, my ranking would be lower.

If were going based on solely Marvel Studios Films then:

The Avengers - Far and away the best
Iron Man - a nigh perfect superhero origin tale
Captain America: The First Avenger - The first half is fantastic but the second part drags a little. Sealed the deal with Chris Evans as Cap for me when he dove on the grenade. Favorite moment of any Marvel Studios Film.
Iron Man 2 - Highly Underrated.
Thor - A little off but highly entertaining.
The Incredible Hulk - Best Hulk Movie, but not best appearance of the Hulk.



Iron Man 3 - meh. too many inconsistencies, and too much buddy cop for my tastes.
