Anne Hathaway Comments Briefly On Her Decision To Join The Cast Of TDKR!

While refusing to let slip any spoilers about here role as Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises, the actress instead comments on what it was that made her decide to sign up for the role and promises a "really good" movie...

"I signed a blood oath," the actress jokingly told Total Film in a recent interview. "Bloody thumbprint on paper."

As for why she decided to take the role of Catwoman in the highly anticipated movie from director Christopher Nolan, she said: "I went after it because it was the best role and Chris was willing to meet me. I want to be the best actress I can be and that means working with the best people and taking the most challenging roles."

"That’s the plan so far and it’s led to some really exciting places."

Unfortunately, Hathaway refused to reveal anything about the movie or the character she plays, but did promise that The Dark Knight Rises is ""going to be really good". Here's hoping, eh?

She's so pretty and although doesn't have the 'catwoman look' she'll probably be decent (: I'm a fan of a lot of her films so I hope she can pull off a more "serious" and "provocative" role.

She does have the right body type: kinda tall, very slender and long legged. I hope she cuts her hair a little shorter.

Definitely not my first choice, but I guess I'll have to see the final result.

Anne Hathaway's performance in Rachel Getting Married is not a average performance. She deserved the Oscar for that dark performance. And, she is edgy and provocative in Love And Other Drugs. Anne is one of the few young A-list actresses that actually takes risks on film. She game for anything.

Plus, Hathaway is absolutely incredible hosting SNL - the best actress to host SNL in years ( she was better than Helen Mirren, Tina Fey , and Jane Lynch when they hosted this past tv season . ) . On SNL, you realize how much of a chameleon she is , and she has this great gift of mimicry . Her imitations of Katie Holmes, Judy Garland, Kate Middleton, Mary Poppins, and the drunk redneck /hillbilly Megamart customer are outstanding. Trust me, you will never see Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Tom Cruise, nor Sandra Bullock hosting SNL- because you have to have special skills to pull-off SNL . That is why Sean Penn & Robert De Niro were both atrocious on SNL .

ajax2, people were bashing Heath Ledger's casting of the Joker, and look how that turned out. Also, Tom Hardy completely owned Inception. He easily walked away with that film.
