Batman: The Long Halloween is one of the most highly anticipated DC Animated Universe movies to come our way in quite some time, and we now have a first look at the cover art for the upcoming Blu-ray release. That shot of Two-Face and the Dark Knight's other rogues will actually link up to Part One's cover, and Warner Bros. Animation has done an awesome job with this artwork.

Jensen Ackles plays Batman in both movies, while the impressive ensemble also includes names such as the late Naya Rivera, Josh Duhamel, Troy Baker, Jack Quaid, and  David Dastmalchian.

"The Long Halloween, Part Two chronicles the second half of this yearlong crime saga," reads the synopsis for Part Two"As the mysterious Holiday Killer continues their deadly crime spree, District Attorney Harvey Dent is pushed to the brink in his quest to bring justice to Gotham City. As the trailer shows, The Long Halloween is also the origin story of Two-Face."

"Making matters worse, Bruce Wayne has been captured by Poison Ivy, leaving Gotham undefended during its darkest hour. Even mob boss Carmine Falcone is becoming increasingly desperate, striking a Faustian bargain with Gotham's new generation of super-criminals."

Most of Part One's cast will be returning for this sequel, but there are going to be some new additions, including Robin Atkin Downes (The Strain) as both Scarecrow and Thomas Wayne, John DiMaggio (Futurama) as the Mad Hatter, Laila Berzins (Genshin Impact) as Sofia Falcone, Jim Pirri (World of Warcraft) as Sal Maroni, and Zach Callison (The Goldbergs) as Young Bruce Wayne.

Kinda wish they had Harvey's normal face on the Part One cover. Still a cool concept though

@Termin8er - true. I'm just glad we're getting The Long Halloween (as a two-parter)

@bkmeijer - same. i'll be able to deal with it, just makes me grumpy lol. i can buy jensen as red hood, just not bruce wayne. but i can't wait to see this regardless

@Termin8er - Jensen as Red Hood does have my preference too. Even for live-action, if we still had Affleck as Batman

@bkmeijer - if only we still had Affleck as Batman. i thought he had so much potential, but so much poor material/direction. Such a bummer. As excited as I am for Robert Pattinson's Batman, i think each new Batman shouldn't necessarily "get grittier". i think the next iteration should be a batman who's been batman for 10 - 15 years. Enough for Dick Grayson to be Nightwing, Jason to be dead and gone (and then return), and Tim to be a few years into being Robin. Why can't we get the Bat family on screen?

@Termin8er - I'm kinda hoping that we're eventually gonna get to the point we've Pattinson has been Batman for 15 years. And they should atleast have had Dick and Jason by then.

As much as I liked Affleck, he never really would've fit in the long cinematic universe idea.

@bkmeijer - i can't really imagine pattinson doing it for 15 years. i also don't really see dick and jason or any robins at all for him. seems like his batman won't be in any team ups and will most likely just be a dark and gritty trilogy. i can only imagine a batman with all the robins existing in a world where some of their enemies have powers. pattinson batman looks to be super grounded, and i just can't see jason todd both existing and then later coming back from the dead. i think we're gonna have to wait for the next version

@Termin8er - I think the Arkham games did a good job of bringing Jason back, and those games were fairly grounded as well.

Still, you're right that this might not be a long haul play on The Batman's behalf

@bkmeijer - the arkham games are super grounded, but there are certain characters that really break that mold. you got an immortal lazarus pit using Ra's, Band and Killer Croc being like three feet taller than the Hulk and Thanos, Clayface, and maybe some others i can't think of. the arkham games would be a phenomenal tonal base for the next iteration of batman. could keep all the grounded things grounded, but include enough sci fi/supernatural that todd could come back. i think a lot of fans see the arkham games as a great basis for a cinematic batman. My pitch for a Batman reboot would be: The Animated Series meets the Arkham series

@Termin8er - that would be great base to build The Batman movies on. They somehow managed to make Clayface and all the other things don't feel out of place, so if the movies can emulate than I'm very happy

Waste no time with part two as much spice Blu-ray holds think they would have included parts one and two on one disk

Based on the spine, we have a Green Lantern project coming in the near future.

Hope they do a Wonder Woman movie set on this earth

Wonder what story they would do for Green Lantern. Already nailed the origin back in First Flight.

Wonder what art style they will do for Injustice. Could do the Bruce Timm style. They use most of his cast anyway

I'm going to wait for the Blu-Ray release where you get both parts on one disc and you can watch it like a complete movie.
