Check Out 120 BTS Images From Christopher Nolan's THE DARK KNIGHT Trilogy

Some of these you will have seen, but I consider myself a massive fan of this trilogy and I hadn't come across quite a few of 'em. In anticipation of Interstellar, here are a batch of great pics from Batman Begins, The Dark Knight & The Dark Knight Rises.

As promotion for Christopher Nolan's sci-fi epic Interstellar amps up, The Playlist have gathered together over 100 behind-the-scenes images from Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises -- which must undoubtedly go down as one of the greatest trilogies of all time. As I said, many of the snaps will be familiar to you, but there are quite a few rarities in there too. Enjoy.

The Dark Knight Trilogy is a set of three Christopher Nolan Batman movies. It includes Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008), and the last movie The Dark Knight Rises (2012). Only Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, and Cillian Murphy appeared in all three movies. All cast and crew members worked on all three movies, except for music composer James Newton Howard who did not work on The Dark Knight Rises. Composer Hans Zimmer composed the soundtracks for all three movies. Katie Holmes played Rachel Dawes in Batman Begins, but was replaced by Maggie Gyllenhaal in The Dark Knight. Liam Neeson appeared as Ra's al Ghul in Batman Begins and in The Dark Knight Rises. All three movies became a success. Only The Dark Knight reached number 1 in the box-office. The Dark Knight Rises is now in number 2 in the 2012 box-office worldwide. Batman Begins was at number 9. Batman Begins earned $372,710,015 worldwide. The Dark Knight earned $1,003,045,358, making it the number one movie of 2008. The Dark Knight Rises earned $1,081,041,287, passing The Dark Knight. In both Batman Begins and in The Dark Knight, Gotham City was based in Chicago, Illinois. In The Dark Knight Rises, Gotham City was based on Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, New York City, New York, and Los Angeles, California.

Gotta disagree, @ staypuffed. I tried to like it. Even watched it twice. Just couldn't really get engaged. Wasn't the worst CBM though.

I think TDKR tried to hard at being monumental but I still love it. Though also the weakest in the series by its standards.

Its still the best cbm trilogy so far. Somehow I think that will change in a few years.

@ JustANerd

I was hoping if I looked at the photos it would spark an interest to see the movie for a third time. Then maybe I'd finally like the movie. Looked at the pics. No motivation. Naiveté on my part :)

It is of course the greatest comic book trilogy ever made. No other comic book trilogy can match up too The Dark Knight Trilogy.

Rises had some great moments such as Banes speech at Black Gate Prison, Bane fighting Batman twice, Bruce Wayne climbing the pitt, Batman being chased by the police, Batman returning to Gotham, The police engaging in a battle with Banes followers and of course Batman sacrificing himself to save Gotham in the end.

The Dark Knight Trilogy is just an incredible trilogy.

@SuperCat, Believe it or not but i actually hated The Dark Knight Rises when i first saw the film in theaters. I saw it again on blu ray and i've learned to appreciate and love the film more. The Dark Knight Rises wraps up the trilogy in a good way.

You should probably give the film another chance, you might like it.

It's interesting how people view these movies so differently. I think I like all 3 equally but for very diff reasons. There's no doubt that BB is technically the most well made, and the least convoluted, but I'd say it's also the most unexciting. TDK has Ledger, a superb first half, but then kinda descends into a bit of a mess. TDKR gets the most flak but in many ways it's superior to both of the others.
