"It's just impossible to stop people," said Christian Bale of the many fans and photographers who turned up on the streets on New York City to catch a glimpse of The Dark Knight Rises being filmed back in October. "I mean, we were doing rehearsals over there and it's like, 'Oh, I can't just punch that guy 'cause he's a paparazzi, he's not an extra.'"

Director Christopher Nolan meanwhile didn't comment on the intrusive presence of the paparazzi, but did however make a point of highlighting just how useful an experience it was to film on the streets of the Big Apple. "The jumping off point for me with taking on Batman in the first place was that if you could make believe in the reality of what they're seeing, then the story has unbelievable power," he said. "And shooting in New York with New York faces there...that's a big part if it.

Why does everyone want to destroy Gotham? What has it done to anyone?

"when Gotham is ashes, you have my permission to die"-Bane. That is such a spine tingling quote.

Thoguh I think the Avengers quinjet looks better by comparission, I do find it interesting how Nolan takes on the Batwing.

After all, I think this video is something I (and unfortunately every other blind Nolanite) think of Nolan when he does these movies (wait till the singing part comes up, the song reflects Nolan as a whole):

I personally think the TDK Trailer is better but this one isnt bad at all. But the Prologue with Bane is definitely better. The cool thing about the "kidnapping" is that not only Bane dusts them all into dust, he also takes 3 million from them before crashing the plane.

That's the problem with society today- you just can't up and punch somebody without getting sued.

Ahh well, maybe it's better that way. Still it would be nice to make a holiday called " Punch the person in the face day" . One punch, one person that one special day a year!

People can get drunk "Punch the person in the face day" eve and maybe wear cosplay costumes of their favorite hero...

I'm just wondering how many lawyers would get punched in the face on " Punch the person in the face day".
BigK1337
BigK1337 - 12/17/2011, 12:25 PM
@headlopper
I think for lawyers you get to punch them 5 times in the face, seeing these guys always strife off on cases of assaults. That is, if that holiday exists.

Either way, the media will exploit it by promoting products like gauntlets, boxing gloves, brass knuckles and Wolverine claws.
headlopper
headlopper - 12/17/2011, 12:45 PM
@BigK1337- So what you're saying is the holiday will result in MORE law suits.

The we need to compensate by making another holiday...

" Punch a lawyer in the face five times if he tries to sue somebody for punching another in the face with gauntlets, boxing gloves,brass knuckles or Wolverine claws on 'Punch the person in the faces' day".

There , we fixed it. We win!
BigK1337
BigK1337 - 12/17/2011, 1:27 PM
@headlopper

No, I am saying that on that holiday the lawyers SHOULD be punched in the face 5 times for strifing off lawsuits on assault all the time. It is simply poetic justice.

@headlopper

Also, I mention that the media and stores will exploit "Punch A Person In the Face" Day by selling products of brass knuckles, gauntlets, boxing gloves and Wolverine Claws; it is a joke on other holidays like Easter, Halloween and Christmas

@BigK1337- I get the twist- nice one!

Now that that's settled, I'd like everybody on this site to contact their local political Representative and start petitioning for the much anticipated holiday- which will be even bigger than CHRISTMAS-!, "Punch a person in the face day" ( not to be confused which "Kick a douche-bag in the balls day) and get this holiday made official! YEAH!!!

Sucks how one incident can forever taint the public's perception. Example: A philanthropist donates millions to charity and lives an outstanding life, but is one day caught making love to a sheep. Despite all his good deeds and charity, he will forever be remembered as a sheep f***er

I'm a Bale sympathizer (we have the same birthdays, but that's aside the point). Even tho I leaked set photos from Heinz Field, I understand Bale's point (which was clearly meant to be humorous). Must be annoying to constantly deal with paparazzi.
