In an interview conducted this week with various news organisations during promotion for Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, the actor also commented on the secrecy surrounding the script...while we've already heard just how careful Christopher Nolan is being with The Dark Knight Rises story details, it sounds like something pretty major happens in the last three pages! Here is an excerpt courtesy of Winnipeg Free Press.

"Christopher doesn't want anyone to ruin it and I completely understand that. The newer people on the film go to his office to read the script. They sent mine out, but it had to be hand delivered directly to me and nobody else. And the final few pages were missing. I went along and talked to Christopher and in person about the ending. Then I locked it away in my head."

We've seen a partial transcript of the following video, but here are his thoughts on Christopher Nolan's decision to direct a third (and possibly final) Batman movie courtesy of the guys over at Love Film.

Head to the 2:35 mark for talk of The Dark Knight Rises.

Wondering what the fuss over Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is all about? Well, here's the trailer for that as well! There's already been talk of Oldman getting an Oscar for his role, while it also stars fellow TDKR actor, Tom Hardy. (aka Bane) It's out now in the UK, and will hit the big screen in the US this December.

Tom Hardy as Bane

Saw Tinker, Tailor and Gary is great in it but the film itself is very slow on stop. Good film but might not be everybody's cup of tea! Gary should get an Oscar nomination at the very least! Might win for TDKR you never know!!

Gary Oldman is one of my favourite actors of all time! Even the bad films he's done (Lost in Space) he has been amazing in! An amazing talent and worthy of an Oscar!

Love Gary Oldman.
But I really don't care about Nolan's "decision" (as if it were some great deliberation) to make another Batman movie. Who wouldn't want to? I think everyone on here would love to in some capacity be part of a Batman movie, at least in their minds. To be directing one, sure there's a lot of pressure, but come on, what an honor.

Wow, we can't appreciate a filmmaker who takes his projects beyond that of a normal filmmaker? Nolan's team is passionate about their work. They have ELEVATED modern day cinema. Where both strong, complex stories mix with MARVELOUS action sequences. Nolan's Batman films are true marvels. Unlike many, Nolan approaches his work with a philosophical view, for 'The Dark Knight Rises', it was the notion of ending the Bruce Wayne story. Let's appreciate a filmmaker and his team of talent for his contributions to the future of cinema and comic book adaptions, forever.

Batman is going to either die or hang up the mantle, I wouldn't be that mad if it was the later, but Nolan's batman has barely been around. I really hope it just ends with him continuing his role as batman and on good terms with gotham. If Batman is kille I will be seriously angry especially with no robin or nightwing to take his place! Any way I think the endign will be extremely shocking.

@VIRILEMAN- hmm, if what you said is true then that's taking heavily from the dark knight returns and bane will be a type of 'mutant leader' in the film, as in the comic the mutant leader bit the mayor's head off. i kind of believe you because it fits in with what we've heard so far, except for the dent part. that could still happen, but i remain skeptical

(crossing fingers) please show the joker... please please.. pleeeeaaase...

also @ VIRILEMAN let's hope not, that sounds a ton like V for Vendetta and i think Nolan has more originality than that, stealing other comic/film plots. too lazy to be the big Nolan surprise ending
