Liam Neeson Comments On TDKR; Won't Reveal Whether He'll Return As Ra's Al Ghul!

In this video interview, the actor seemingly plays dumb when it comes to the rumors that he'll reprise the role of Ra's Al Ghul in The Dark Knight Rises, but does share his excitement about the movie despite not having a clue what it's about...

We've heard plenty of rumors indicating that the actor will return as the villainous Ra's Al Ghul in The Dark Knight Rises, but little was revealed in regards to that when the actor sat down to chat with MTV News recently. In fact, it was if the character he played in Batman Begins slipped his mind entirely for a second! "You're throwing me for a loop there. That's right. I was in 'Batman.' I trained him," he laughed.

On a slightly more serious note, the actor then went on to look back at the past two movies and his excitement to see the third instalment. "Chris Nolan's made wonderful films, very rich, dark and complex, especially ['The Dark Knight']. Of course, it was cloaked in tragedy," he added in reference to the death of Heath Ledger. As for The Dark Knight Rises: "I'm eager to see this one. I haven't a [frick]ing clue what it's about!"

Liam Neeson is one of the best actors out there, and it would be so damn awesome if they reveal Ras Al Ghul survived that train crash in Batman Begins.

The fact that you´re ill makes them hundred times more enjoyable. Especially if you have a high fever.

On a more serious note I'd love it he comes back not only would it be cool to see Ra's "immortality" but it would be great if a studio actually managed to keep something from us in this day and age

Totally in a flashback scene. It's Nolan's "realistic" universe and characters stay dead. That makes sense to me, more than him surviving that train death. No way in hell Ras walked away from that

avenger15 - 11/16/2011, 10:27 AM
I remember before the train crashes ,in batman begins, batman uses one of his bombs to blow open a window before he splits the train in half. Maybe ra's escaped through the window just before the train crashes

well Ra's al Ghul has died and came back a bunch of times, and like some of you said, Liam is lying, so he may in fact be in the dark knigt rises.

Maybe Scarecrow will develop a new type of hallucinogen which will make Wayne visualize Ra's...don't know...But we've never trully seen Ra's die in Batman Begins: we only saw the train crash into an underground parking lot and before this Ra's closed his eyes and entered into a sort of meditative state.
