Liam Neeson Confirms He Is In THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

A long standing rumor that most of us thought to be true, is that Liam Neeson would return for Christopher Nolan's third and final Batman film.

Previously, when asked if he would be in The Dark Knight Rises Liam would clown around and feign ignorance. But out of the blue today Showbizspy has scored the quote most Batman fans wanted to hear. Liam tells Showbizspy, "I can tell you nothing about Dark Knight Rises, seriously. I was on set for maybe an hour-and-a-half and the director didn’t tell me anything of what it’s about. So, I’m being very honest when I say I have no idea what’s going to happen.

There yah go! Welcome back Ra Al Ghul! Although I only expect to see him in flashbacks. With young actress Joey King recently spoiling the appearance of young Talia Al Ghul we could see a father daughter moment with Laim, or perhaps he'll share a moment with a young Bane?

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th 2012 and stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Garly Oldman as Jim Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate.

Gotta be flashbacks with that on set time! Although he is an awesome actor, wouldn't be surprised if he's secretly the main villain and was so good he filmed his part in real time and just one take!

THINGS I LEARNT FROM RA'S AL GHUL:

1. Always mind your surroundings
2. When cold, rub your chest not your arms
3. Before crashing a monorail, calmly close your eyes first.

lol @EditNinja

It's awesome Neeson is returning even just for flashbacks with Young Talia, and Cillian Murphy is returning as Scarecrow too so it must all be tying back in with the first film nicely. Neeson is a Legend, can't wait to see him wrassle some wolves in The Grey.

@EditNinja I'm thinking I really want to go see that. Love that line in the trailer when the pack of wolves are staring at the group, and Neeson just goes, "Just stare right back at em."

Maybe Josh Pence is young Ra's in the flashbacks and Liam shows up at the end in modern day?

Doesn't prove anything, an hour and a half is a really short time frame to shoot a scene. Even if it is for a cameo. And he doesn't explicitly say that he is in the movie. He could have just been visiting.

This is going to be one of the most complete trilogies ever. That's why Nolan is a amazing filmmaker. And what better trilogy to do it with then Batman?

I'm sure it is just me, and I am sure that he is probably back in the movie in some capacity, but this quote does not "confirm" that he is back. Unless there is more to this that was not transcribed in this article, all we know for sure is that Neeson was on set (not that he was working on set or acting, he could just be visiting to see what's going on as many famous people do that a lot) and that Nolan wouldn't give him any of the story details.

Beyond that, this is not a confirmation.

He said he was on the set. There's a lot of people who show up on a set that aren't actually in a film. If he was actually filming and was only there for an hour and a half, it means he has a bit role in the movie. Not enough to get me to be any more optimistic about the film.
