More From Katee Sackhoff On Wanting To Play HARLEY QUINN Or WONDER WOMAN

The Riddick actress talks about being told that she wasn't right for the role of Wonder Woman in the failed TV series, and again expresses her desire to play Harley Quinn on the big screen. Sackhoff also emphasises her interest in taking on a role in Star Wars Episode VII!

"Absolutely," Katee Sackhoff told Total Film when they asked her if she's still interested in starring in a comic book movie. "I would love to play any of these characters. I'd love to play Wonder Woman. I remember auditioning for the Wonder Woman television show and being told that I wasn't the Wonder Woman type, but if I wanted to play the best friend, I could audition for that. And remember thinking to myself, 'You obviously haven't seen my work!' [laughs]"

As we know from past interviews, The Joker's sidekick Harley Quinn is a character that certainly seems to be of interest to the Riddick actress, and with a new Batman franchise on the horizon, could she finally get her wish? "I would love to do that. I'm obsessed with Jinx. I would love to play Harley Quinn. I just think it's amazing. I mean I think I might give away my firstborn to have an opportunity to play Harley Quinn. I love trying to understand the villain, and trying to understand the things they do and why they do them, and I've always found her and The Joker, you almost can't understand them. And it makes it so much more interesting because everything's fair game, and I love that. I loved the usefulness of her, I thought that was interesting, and I just think that it's a fantastic character."

"Star Wars meant everything to me growing up," Sackhoff added when talk turned to her voiceover work in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars series. As for whether that means she would like to take on a live-action role in J.J. Abrams' Star Wars Episode VII, she added: "Star Wars was, I mean, it was the first time I remember seeing three movies that all kind of went together. It was just an amazing final understanding of what a trilogy was. If J.J. would listen, I would play a rock in the Star Wars movies. I think that they're fantastic, I think that he's a great choice, and I'm excited to see what happens in that world."

You need a pic to show what she looks like and her figure. Too many people, like myself, have no idea what she looks like.

Compare and contrast. That's a part of journalism.

@NovaCorpsFan, I think they call them standins. I am sure that Kate Sack off would surprise everyone as Harley. I would think that fans would like to see someone like Tricia Helfer even more.

Katee should go with Marvel, she would be amazing as Danvers. DC were idiots when they passed up on her as Wonder Woman. Gillian Jacobs is the only actress I could see as Harley Quinn.

That's how Samuel L Jackson got a role in star Wars, he said, he'd be happy to even be a faceless Stormtrooper who just walked in front of the camera...plus Katee Sackhoff would make a beautiful rock.

@ MrChuff

She could be whoring herself out, or maybe she really wants to play those characters. Anyways she could be a good Harley or Ms. Marvel, but her body of world is not the greatest

She's too old to play Harley, and I agree that she doesn't have the right look to be Wonder Woman. She would've made a decent Sif though.

Sakoff will always be a supporting actress and never a leading lady. There's a reason she's never been in anything of consequence. BSG is the best thing she's done at this point and that was several years ago.

Just because she says she likes comics and and CBMs doesn't mean she has to be a sweaty nerd.... She prolly likes the idea of super heroes, and she's talented enough to bring them to life

I can see her as Harley but not WW or Ms. Marvel. To be either of those characters, the actress really needs to be slap-you-in-the-face, knock-you-off-your-feet beautiful and i don't really see it here.

I think that Heath Ledger really set the bar for the Joker in any future take on the character. There was such unsaid depth that he put into the character that any interpretation of the Clown Prince of Crime will be a tremendous undertaking. I'm sure that anyone crazy enough to try and either pick up where he left off, or take it to a completely different direction, is in for a world of pain and scorn and criticism before shooting even begins.

That being said, Harley Quinn would have to have the same amount of commitment and talent from the actress to pull off the character properly. Anything less would be pointless to have. Does this woman have it? She had better if she truly understands this universe or fan-base.

My vote for any future Joker is Leo.
