With recent concerns that Warner Bros. weren't serious about a Nightwing movie and fears that McKay will move on from the project, The Lego Movie director has assuaged these worries.

With the DCEU slate constantly in flux and uncertain, one project that many hope would come to fruition is the solo Nightwing project from The Lego Movie director Chris McKay who, with every update and comment on the project seemed to be saying all the right things for fans of the former Robin.

Concerns started to mount however when it was revealed the project wasn't as far along as we had all assumed, and The Tracking Board reported that the project was "years down the line" and then a few days ago the news came from Variety that McKay was in negotiations to direct a new Dungeons & Dragons film for Paramount Pictures.

One concerned fan on Twitter voiced the frustration and fear that McKay would more than likely be leaving the project only for the director to make it abundantly clear that he was still very serious about the project.

While some might say that eventuality isn't beyond the realm of possibility, one need only look at Flashpoint's production history but it's certainly very good to hear that whether the film comes to us sooner or later Chris McKay is still determined to be the one to bring the project to the big screen.

What do you think? Are you happy that Chris McKay is still helming the project? Would you have rather someone else? And what would you like to see in a Nightwing solo? Leave your thoughts below.

It would be a dream come true for him to deliver an awesome Nightwing movie. The problem is, most people won't believe it until they're sitting in the theater watching it. I remain optimistic.

Dude enough. DC needs to reboot EVERYTHING. They rushed the universe and it’s all horrible. Justice League was one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. Suicide Squad was somehow better. BVS was better too. Snyder sucks and it just needs to start over again. Stop forcing this shit. It’s not working
