Cosmicbooknews seem to have a bit of inside info leaking through about Christopher Nolan's Batman threequel. So far nothing has been confirmed or debunked so we will have to take the following with a pinch of salt for now too. Anyway, here is what they say about Nixon..
Possible SPOILERS ahead..
I've been told Matthew Modine actually plays a CIA Special Agent who comes to Gotham with a small CIA team to work alongside Commisioner Gordon and his Police Department in bringing down Bane.
The source was unsure if Modine's character initially comes to Gotham to capture Batman, but is positive that at the end Nixon works to take down Bane, and realizes that Batman isn't the threat he is made out to be -- after Bane exposes Harvey Dent's murders.
Not the corrupt politician we had been led to believe the character was, and in fairness the leaked set images of Modine, gun in hand, alongside Joseph Gordon Levitt's John Blake would seem to lean towards the above info being accurate. But we will see. Bat fans will hopefully get a look at the second trailer for
