As everyone is well aware of Tom Hardy is a tad bit hard to understand in the prologue for next Batman film. Now, Christopher Nolan, the director, has stated that he won't make any significant changes to the sound mix, even though an overwhelming number of fans are left guessing what marble mouth is saying.
When Christopher Nolan's brother Jonah, the co-screenwriter of the film, was asked about Hardy's voice and the controversy he replied,
"I gotta tell you, I think what Tom Hardy’s doing with the role is spectacular. I have the benefit of seeing a little bit more than the audience has seen at this point. It’s pretty spectacular."
He was also asked to comment on the IMAX prologue. He stated,
"It’s an amazing team with my brother, David Goyer and myself. Those are two great guys to work with and brainstorm with. I think Chris had long wanted to do sort of the aerial spectacular. It’s such a good fit for the Imax cameras that he likes to shoot with and so that was a long time in the making."
