TDKR: Could Bane Be A Sympathetic Villain?

A source from the set of TDKR has contacted me with some interesting information that may pertain to Bane's (Tom Hardy) role as the villain of Christopher Nolan's Batman threequel..

Here is what I was told. Following on from the last scene description I gave you which saw Bane freed from a prison by the League Of Shadows..

A large team in black hoods storm a room holding Tom Hardy as Bane led by what looked like a young ra's and kill off some stragglers.

Well apparently he goes back in order to free 2 children that have also been imprisoned. For what reason my source did not know, that was pretty much all he had to add. But I found it very interesting. This is pure speculation but could we be dealing with a sympathetic villain like Spider-Man 2's Doc Ock? Or more recently Loki in Thor? I know these villains can come in for a criticism among fans but I personally feel it gives the character a bit of weight. Obviously it's nice to see an amoral bastard like The Joker from time to time too. But who knows, the children may have been important to the league for some reason and weren't rescued out of kindness. I was told that despite this one act Bane "Is definitely not very nice". I think blowing up a football stadium is already proof of that anyway, but I dunno, we could be dealing with bad guy with some kind of twisted moral code here.

What do you guys think?
