THE DARK KNIGHT RISES: Warner Bros. Launch Two New Interactive Websites

Warner Bros. have launched two new interactive websites for The Dark Knight Rises. The first allows fans to put themselves in the shoes of Batman, Bane and Catwoman, while the second gives you the chance to track down IMAX theaters showing the film.

Thanks to a heads up from Batman-News, we now know about two new interactive The Dark Knight Rises websites launched by Warner Bros. ahead of the release of the movie on July 20th. GothamCitysMostWanted.com allows you to use your webcam in order to superimpose either Batman, Bane or Catwoman's mask over your face (similar to the interactive device recently spotted in US theaters). Meanwhile, TDKRmap.com is a little less fun, although still pretty handy, as it can be used to track down IMAX theaters across North America which will be showing the third and final installment in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. Click on the images below to visit the sites.

Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ "The Dark Knight Rises" is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. The screenplay is written by Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan, story by Christopher Nolan & David S. Goyer. The film is produced by Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Charles Roven, who previously teamed on “Batman Begins” and the record-breaking blockbuster "The Dark Knight." The executive producers are Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Kevin De La Noy and Thomas Tull, with Jordan Goldberg serving as co-producer. The film is based upon characters appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Batman was created by Bob Kane.

STARRING:

Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman
Michael Caine as Alfred
Gary Oldman as Commissioner Jim Gordon
Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox
Tom Hardy as Bane
Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman
Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake
Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate
Josh Pence as Ra's Al Ghul

RELEASE DATE: July 20th, 2012

And the fact that Slashfilm and Collider are among some of the most respected Film News sites, and they never post Bull just for views makes me even more excited.

It's really pathetic someone like "grif" can actually make time to troll so much on a film he supposedly hates.. Pretty hilarious. Sorry buddy TDKR will completely own.

@FightAs0ne that my friend was probably a poorly printed t shirt found in a small Mexican market place some where, where the people know very little about modern films, though I must say a batman, spiderman, and jake sully team up would be pretty epic

gotta love how everyone complains about this movie or that movie yet offers little explanation on why it fails...unless you count saying the phrase, "it sucks". look guys you don't have to like the dark knight or see TDKR and you can say whatever you want in this free country of ours. but if you are going to go on these sights and badmouth a movie where for the most part only fans of the film would be listening then at least offer a valid reasoning as to the failure of the film as you see it.

also if you can only claim that it's just because it takes liberty with the source material then explain why it was done better in the comic.
