Not that people need it, but there is now another reason to check out
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. According to
Batman-On-Film, via
Cosmic Book News the second trailer for
The Dark Knight Rises will be premiering with the movie.
A Game of Shadows is set to hit theaters on December 16th, the same day as the IMAX release of
Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, which will feature the prologue to The Dark Knight Rises as well.
From Batman-On-Film:
BOF has been "unoffically" told that the second trailer for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES will be attached to SHERLOCK HOLMES: A GAME OF SHADOWS -- which is also a Warner Bros. film. SH2 is being released on December 16th. While this makes sense, I've got to wonder if they will actually release a trailer the same weekend as the "TDKR Prologue" which will allegedly will be show in front of IMAX screenings of MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - GHOST PROTOCOL. I'll post more info once it becomes available -- which should be shortly.
So until anything is official I would take this with a pinch of salt, but it looks like we could be getting the trailer and the prologue all on the same day.
The Dark Knight Rise stars Christian Bale, Garly Oldman, Michael Caine, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard and will be released on July 20, 2012
