Can’t wait until “The Dark Knight Rises” comes out next year? Well, neither can I, really. That’s why I’ve been scouring the Internet for articles related to it, just because… (Well, OK, I scour the Internet looking for articles on sci-fi and fantasy related stuff ALL THE TIME. It doesn’t matter what’s out or not…)
But anyhoo…
Yesterday, Total Film published an article counting down 50 interesting facts about what we know about “The Dark Knight Rises” so far. It’s a fun read, obviously designed to get you thinking and talking about the film in advance of its release.
Here are the top five facts / Easter eggs / ponderings that the folks at Total Film came up with…
1. “I knew Harvey Dent…” – These are the first words of the film, apparently, spoken by Commissioner Gordon, and Total Film highlighted this fact to show that, even though “The Dark Knight Rises” takes place eight years after the previous film in the series, these flicks are TOTALLY related
2. Robin won’t be appearing (poor Robin), but…
3. Director Christopher Nolan had an “R” pop up in footage that looks an awful lot like how the “R” in “Robin” is stylized in the character's DC Comics logo. Just a red herring? Or a hint that Robin’s actually showing up?
4. Bane’s going to be a tough, intellectual guy. The thinking man’s supervillain
5. This movie’s reuniting cast members from “Inception,” another Nolan film. Folks like Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Tom Hardy
Sufficiently teased yet? (Not that you weren’t already salivating before you read this).
Check out the link to Total Film’s article below to check out the entire list of 50 facts. Those folks must’ve worked HARD to think of them all and write them up, anyway. Show ‘em some love!
