Gotham is one of the many nicknames for New York, and pre-dates its inclusion in the Batman mythos.

Don't know what the point is. There is no Boston in the DC universe. That's what I love about DC fanatics. They get all excited about a version of America we know doesn't exist.

Hey Tony. I know. Guess I should have made that clearer. Shame they couldn't give a nod to Affleck's hometown in the World's Finest film though(seeing as there is no Boston in DCland).

[frick] affleck. I can't wait until this performance fails. The movie might end up being good but people are kidding themselves trying to prrtend that Affleck will do a good job as batman. Thks shit is still unbelievable to me.

@highflyer, youre thick in the head mate, Gotham is a nickname for new york, which is what comics gotham was based on, new york albeit in a perpetual night time. Even though the name was technically found in a phone book as Gotham Jewelers, and thats where the first inspiration came from
