Batman: Arkham City expands upon the gritty, atmospheric scenery and characterization that catapulted Batman: Arkham Asylum to the forefront. It is set in a sequestered section of Gotham City that has become the home for the criminally insane. Players are introduced to a brand new story that bring together an ensemble cast of characters and villains from the Batman universe, as well as enhanced gameplay features that build upon the ultra-realistic Dark Knight experience that fans enjoyed with Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Batman: Arkham City is set to be released sometime next Fall.

Batman should start killing dudes, he have a lot less bad guys to worry about!! Gotham would be villain free if he had been killing from the start!

I like almost anything superhero related, but have to say that superman is one of the lamest characters. Also, he's not SuperMAN! He's SuperALIEN!

@superguy: Batman BUILT all of the stuff that makes him as powerful as Superman. Superman's raw power is balanced out by a weakness to kryptonite and average human intelligence. Batman's human weaknesses (multiple) are balanced out by high intelligence and a wide variety of mastered skill sets. Neither character is better than the other, but Batman tends to have better writers.

@Intruder and SFCamerica
Superman is more human than humans because the best qualities of humanity are supposed to be:

1) Self-sacrifice
2) Loyalty
3) Justice (in the true sense)
4) Helping no matter what the personal cost
5) Putting others before yourself
6) Not concerned with fame or glory (alter-ego, Clark Kent)
7) The search for actual TRUTH
8) True love, and not lust or sexual desire
9) Understanding and caring about other people's feelings
Superman does his damndest to do these things, and that makes him more human than actual humans. Being human isn't just about point-blank anatomy, it's a concept too. Just watch Star Trek: TNG and observe Data's behavior over the course of the series, it's a fantastic example, especially in 'Nemesis'.

As for the Batman issue, Batman is like Superman but without powers. Batman has issues that can't always be solved by picking up the continent and throwing it into space (i.e. Superman Returns). He doesn't usually deal with fighting himself literally (Bizarro), or aliens with superpowers that are evil but from the same planet as him. He deals with real hard-ass criminals so sometimes he needs to get his hands dirty.

Superguy 1591: Did you read Final Crisis? Darksied blew a hole in Batman's chest the size of a basketball! Doomsday beat Superman to death! Neither one of them is EVEN CLOSE to being godlike (Except for whole resurrection thing. Reign of the Supermen was a HELL of a lot better than The Return of Bruce Wayne in that area). Lately, the writing for Batman SUCKS $!@#$ and J.M. Strazcyinski's take on Superman is FANTASTIC. I guess quality comes and goes depending who's in charge of the writing. I have to agree that Clark's moral compass is a little more grounded than Bruce's.

Superguy
The villains in Batman are human too.Its only in other books he goes up against superpowered beings and in those cases he wins by using his brain. How does that make him overpowered? Besides,he's the frickin hero! Would you really read a book where the hero loses every single time? I fail to see what you're so irate about? And bashing fans for liking a character is out of order.Crass generalisation. If anything,Superman is the overpowered hero, hence he's so bloody hard to write for without repeating plots. The best Batman stories are the ones that involve detective work and logic, not the wall to wall fist fights of other heroes. And Batman doesn't kill, period, because it'd make a mockery of his reasons for starting his career!
Amazo
Amazo - 12/21/2010, 3:33 AM
Funny, the last time I saw them go head to head Bats nearly broke his fist and had to run for his life....?You can't blame Bats because Supes has a weakness to Kryptonite!Or that Bats is superior in intelligence and can outmanuever him.Sure Superman could beat Batman in a fight, but the point is Batman would think his way out of a confrontation and Supes isn't the kind of guy to pop peoples heads anyway! He's constantly holding back.
And saying you have a problem with Batfans because they don't understand Supes is again a crass generalisation! Its ok for you to bash a character and its fans but not visa versa?! Please grow up mate!
I personally like both characters but see them as two different entities playing by different rules. There's room for both.
And the reason that Batmans villains are a threat to him is because they are devious and intelligent.Their threat is less physical and more phychological, emotional. The end of the day the majority are involved in organised crime, not ushering in the next alien threat. You don't seem to have a very tight grasp on Batman and his world.

@Spartan- So true. Aren't comics suppose to be fun? Why SO SERIOUS?!? Lol. That's the whole point of fiction, its always changing and can be interpreted anyway the reader sees it.
