VIDEO: TRUE DETECTIVE Opening Credits get a BATMAN Twist

Short of a comic spin-off, this is probably the only time we'll get to cover the excellent HBO crime series! Josh Newman has put together a video called "World's Greatest True Detective", which imagines a Gotham type tv show set to The Handsome Family's True Detective intro music.

That was great, but I don't think the song fits with Gotham. The reason it works so well with True Detective is that it's set in Erath, Louisiana which is this black hole of a redneck town that is miles from anything.

That's damn awesome! :D

Still not completely sure how I feel about the True Detective finale. I loved most of the show, but I feel the end could have been handled better at certain parts. But I won't discuss this here, cause many seem to still want to watch it. Which I recommend, it's pretty damn good!

One of the best openings in any show. Music and imagery was perfect with the tone. Hope season 2 can live up to the first!

True Detective was a really good show with some of the best acting and dialogue that I have ever seen on TV. I hope they can do the same again on season 2. This video was awesome.

This shit...really? True Detective did something inventive now people want the TV and film industry to rape the idea to death. Why can't we keep shit as an auteur's idea. Whoever did TD's opening sequence did a great artistic interpretation of that story. I don't think anyone can or should impersonate that shit. Be original, that's what made True Detective so memorable in the first place.

Gotham will be shit. Arrow is shit. Flash might be shit. Don't devalue the only show I actually enjoy on TV.
