How Did The BATMAN v SUPERMAN Trailer Fare Against CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR?

Earlier this week, Marvel made some bold claims about the Captain America: Civil War breaking trailer viewing records. Now, the big question on everyone's lips is whether that new Batman v Superman preview topped it. Well, you can find the answer to that after the jump!

Just like Captain America: Civil War before it, the new trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice debuted on Jimmy Kimmel Live this past Wednesday. According to ListenFirst Media (via Variety), the new look at the Zack Snyder helmed release received 23.2 million views durings its first 24 hours on YouTube and Facebook, a slight dip from the 30+ million views both the teaser and Comic-Con trailer received. Here's where things get interesting though. Despite the fact that they counted views from more than just YouTube and Facebook, the Captain America: Civil War trailer actually received 61 million views durings its first 24 hours; that's quite the gap! Of course, it's to be expected that the third trailer for Batman v Superman would generate less views, and it has to be noted that the trailer for Civil War was our very first look at the movie. Still, many of you argued right here on CBM that the Batman v Superman trailer would crush Civil War, and it's clear now...

MARVEL WINS!

Calm down, I'm only joking. The real battle here will actually come at the box office next year!

Actually, i don't think we should consider box office (transformers 4) instead it should be based on critical acclaim

Who cares about how many people watched it?

Everybody knows the comic con trailer of BvS was more epic than the CW trailer.

but low key - the civil war trailer was better for 4 reasons....or should i say the three things i didn't like about the DC trailer was

one - they should've never shown doomsday (or at least what we...i think is doomsday)

two - he doesn't look terrifying like his comic book counterpart

three - i really dont like this lex luthor at all...I MEAN AT ALL; nothing against the actor...its just.....it dont feel right.

four - you dont show us the trinity...not yet...too much...TOOO MUCH

Both trailers I found to be poorly put together. That being said I preferred the content of the BvS trailer but it has the advantage because its the 3rd trailer and thus can reveal more of the action sequences and story etc… Had the CW trailer shown be Spidey I would have likely enjoyed it.

But this article is just silly.
